I am receiving the "no disk" error every time I start up my game. It seems to try and search for HDD3,HDD4,HDD5, each time and I just "Cancel" each one. It's annoying but doesn't stop me from playing.

Whether or not anyone found an answer, yours has not been the only report for that error. During the initial release of DA2, the Search is offline to conserve server bandwidth, but Google or Yahoo are so much better, just add the local site's internet name to the search as a site: redirection criteria, and you can find the other instances.
start with this as the search criteria for Google, Yahoo, Bing
dragon age demo No Disk Error at Startup site:http://social.bioware.com/forum/1
" About 217 results (0.22 seconds) "

I just read it's because of DX11 mode. Unfortunately, I must have DX11 enabled, so I guess I'll have to wait on a patch.

Just found this thread. They looking here: http://social.biowar...12372/1#6449307
You may not have to undo DX11. Try removing any Floppy drives in your Device Manager. It is worth a shot.....

Same no disk error here... disabled the floppy drive in the bios, and no more error... Thanks for posting a solution!

You modified the post to make more sense. Even though - " During the initial release of DA2, the Search is offline to conserve server bandwidth, but Google or Yahoo are so much better,..." - is a COMPLETE run on sentence.
