But the question if more general as well: What would the best specialization be for a Rogue Archer?
I've seen some people recommend Ranger for Leliana if you build her into being an archer, and this always struck me as somewhat odd. Maybe it's just a mindset of World of Warcraft and D&D that archers should have pets? You should already have a good tank, and a lot of times I even have the tank stay put while I crowd-control (with an opening Blizzard+Earthquake) and burn-down the foes from range.
Looking at the relevant Rogue specializations:
- The stats for Ranger (+1 constitution, +5 natural resistance) don't help an archer.
- The stats for Assassin are quite good (+2 dexterity, +2.5% critical chance) for an archer.
- The Assassin's "Mark of Death" talent is also very good, and useful for an archer.
- The stats for Duelist are also decent (+1 dexterity +1 damage), though the talents seem lackluster for an archer.
Thoughts? If you've kept Leliana and used her as an archer, then:
1. What specialization did you use?
2. Why did you pick that choice?
3. On a replay, assuming you kept Leliana and used her as an archer, would you change specializations?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
