While i'm playing DA2 my game sometimes ( once for 10-15 mins ) is freezed. After I use the combination Alt+tab and then back to game, it's returned to normal. And that''s happening every 15 minutes. I have the latest frivers for my Nvidia GTX 260M/ Directx 11. Whats the problem, huh?

Im having the same problems. Drivers are up to date to the most recent, Directx 11 is up to date, and Im running my graphics on the lowest possible setting. Ive tried it with Directx 9 and it still does it and I have even done it without EA download manager being running. It seems that when these freezes occur my CPU usage shoots from 5-10% upwards of 90-99%. Im running my computer on bare minimum processes and STILL getting the freezes. Someone help please, I want to play this god damn game already.

I've just downloaded Beta drivers for Nvidia, i have read that this can help. Will report here, after i check

Same here. Tried everything. The longest I've gotten the game to run is about thirty-five minutes without crashing. Sometimes it'll actually reset my PC. Other times it'll just freeze and I have to do a hard reboot. Tried all settings, wiped and updated all drivers. The game runs perfectly up until the moment it crashes. I also have a GTX 260 OC'd by about 30%. Even tried reverting the OCing I've done. I'm about to turn on subtitles and turn off all in game audio to see if I can narrow down the problem at all. Say what you want about the direction Bioware is taking the DA series but printing and selling this software is an absolute failure on the part of all parties involved.

Tried to reinstall, but it didn't help...

I too have this problem, and also have the gtx 260. only happens when i go to talk to...i forget her name, the girl whos husband died in the beggining, and now she works in kirkwall.

i just switched it to directx 9, and put anti-alias at x8, runs smooth, no crashing yet

I'm betting that this was at least partly cured by newer drivers.
