First things first, I bought the Signature Edition of the game, so I received the Exiled Prince as a bonus, and I have in the past enjoyed DLCs from many, many games. And I certainly do enjoy the DLCs BioWare has crafted over the past years for Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins. But, there's something about the Exiled Prince that I feel I should rant about.

---- Mega Spoiler ----
This is about Sebastian relationship with a certain lady:

<spoiler>

... The high cleric. That relationship seems to demonstrate a major character aspect of the High Cleric herself, the fact that she has a Prince ,with a certain knack for worldly possession, ready to abandon these foolish thoughts in order to remain by her side to protect her, is definitely a great way to show how great of a person she is.

</spoiler>

Compared to Shale in the first game, you could have lived without her, you didn't really have to go all the way to the little village to find her, as she could have just been left on her own cursing at birds.

For people who bought the game without this DLC, does Sebastian show up anyway, to demonstrate the strong bonds between him and the 'certain lady'?
So, do you guys feel that Sebastian is definitely crucial to the storyline, and <i> should </i> have been included in the game anyway?

Edit::: How the hell do the spoiler tags work? :)

I liked him. Once I recruited him I tried to keep him as much as possible. He's killer DPS and his banters with the other group mates (For me it was Aveline and Varric) were really good.
I doubt he is even viewable in a game without the DLC but yes, he really does add a lot to that particular lady and how much I liked her.

IDK. I have the DLC- but it glitched and I couldn't finish the initial quest to let me access him. Then in another act, I acquired him anyways. D:
