I thought she would hate the Circle so I Grey Wardened her but she doesn't seem happy. People who sent her to the Circle say that seems to make her happier.
BTW, has anyone seen this type of thread but for Carver? I keep finding Bethany ones.
Bethany and Carver -which fate, in your opinion is better, and why?

Noo, but if you read the journal after the Circle took her, it seems she is okay and almost happy with it. I am now okay with my decision, at least she has got contact with her family.

She joined the circle because I wouldn't take her and Anders to the deep roads, no way was I going to let her die.
But I'd say Grey Warden is the best fate.
The Grey Wardens don't care if you're a mage or not, the templars wouldn't be able to touch her because she is a Grey Warden so she doesn't have to worry about them, and at least she's not dead.

Well I didn't know about Bethany dying in the deep roads so I started from an earlier save and replayed to where she joined the circle. I am hoping she she joins back up with Hawke in later installments since I sided with the mages. Bethany is the best mage in my opinion. On my current play through she will join the Grey Wardens.

as a female rogue Carver died in the very beginning with nothing i could do. so with Bethany my only family and the relationship between a female and her being good i kept her with me at every step. like a great sister act. she was crafted to be a great supporting attack mage (really who wants to play with Anders AGAIN after awakenings, that stupid crap about the cat turned me off and that elf girl is just annoying) and so what does bioware do (other than make a crappy, linear, single city, tiny ass no variety hack and slash game) ... they kill my sister. and to add insult to injury i even lost her stuff? hello?!?!? some of that stuff kicked ass, you don't think maybe i'd take it off her corpse. Bioware ... you really suck.

hmm thats strange carver dies when i am warrior or beth dies when i play as a my mage ..

So you rescued your doomed-to-die sister from the darkspawn taint by sending her off to join the Grey Wardens. You expect her to be happy... why?

BIG SPOILERS IN HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my first run through i listened to mother and kept bethany at home, when i got back from deep roads, she was getting sent to the circle. i had max friendship with her before that occured. during act 2 she and mother write to each other alot and mother goes to visit with her.
bethany seems to do well there, she adjusts and is for the most part happy. i was very mage friendly in my playthrough, helped the half-elven boy mage by getting him to the dalish and then in the next act i went into the fade where isabela and merril both betrayed me, but varric and i finished it with the good conclusion. i spared the starkhaven blood mages, and helped thrask, keran(keeping him in the templars) and some other things. all this bit me in the butt in act 3 where thrask formed an anti templar/meredith group, with the starkhaven bloodmage i saved. the blood mage decided that even though i saved her life me killing her psychotic lover made me evil and took bethany as a hostage under a blood magic binding spell. keran and another mage i helped were in the group and when i confronted them to get bethany back those 2 helped me and then helped break the binding spell to free her. i got to briefly talk to bethany and she was glad im always there to protect her.
in the end i sided with the mages and bethany was glad i was on her side, joined my group and we decimated the templars, and meredith the psycho. i romanced isabela and got her her ship so i imagine her bethany and i are sailing the seas on the run from varrics end story(didnt mention bethany but i like to assume so)
also i took care of the douche templar sir ulrik so bethany was safe from the tranquil creating mental templar as well.
so i assume the circle is actually a really good option for her. i hope this helps and sorry about how spoiler it is.

Bethany is awesome and from the three choices you have I believe Grey Warden is the best option. Not only do you get a touchy scene, she comes back at the end of the game and apologizes and appreciates everything you've done for her.

You get Bethany to join the Grey Wardens only if you have Anders in your party. Also, I had Bethany's friendship maxed, that may be a requirement also.

For Bethany, I think the Circle is the right choice. I think in a way she was relieved not to have to run and hide anymore.
I'm not sure about Carver yet. I think the templars may be the best for him, since he still sees joining the Wardens as a choice made for him, something out of his control. More than anything I think Carver wants to control his own destiny to get out from under Hawke's shadow. Joining the templars is his choice, which I think is what matters most to him.
