So since there is no pre-load for this game I assume it will be released at 12:00AM on November 3rd? If it is 12:00AM would that be pacific, mountain, central, or eastern??
Question on the timing of the STEAM release...

How do you know it won't be made available for preload in the future but before then.

The count down timer says time until it unlocks, doesn't that mean until you can play it rather than download it.

It will be an epic fail is steam doesn't offer preload.

Well that's pretty silly if true.
Guess we'll get it about a week after release, probably away that weekend anyway so guess it doesn't mater much to me.
I'm going for the steam version myself.

I thought that was the case which is why I would be suprised if they didn't in this case and with a 20Gb game it makes sense to make it available for preload.
I wouldn't expect to see it available yet though.

Only if it's a Gearbox game. There have been many games that were released without pre-load on Steam.Syrellaris wrote...

Guess they where just all games I never bought, I still think it will be very silly and suprising if they don't have preloading and that it will not be available for preload more than 48 hours before unlocking to give hackers minimum time to get at it before release.

D2D has preloading.
We dont know about steam yet. Bioware's official comment on the subject is that as of 10/20 they were working on figuring out how/if they could do it.
It could still happen, there are several days until the D2D preload is enabled, the preload could still be announced to the community.
NO ONE has come out and officially stated it will not happen. They will not announce that it will until they have it ready and tested, which is likely what is going on behind the scenes right now, they just dont want to set expectations that it will happen and then not be able to deliver for some reason.
