Two quick questions - first, didn't there used to be a search feature for these forums? If there still is, I can't find it, so any help locating it would be appreciated.
Second, I personally enjoy precision when reading posts on a forum. Is it possible to display the time a post was made in a precise format, such as "March 10, 2011 3:46 pm" instead of the current "About three hours ago" format I'm seeing? Thanks for the advice if this can be changed, if not - can you please change it?

Oh yeah, the lack of the search feature really confused me. My guess is that it got temporarily disabled, for whatever reason. Or it got relocated and I'm too dumb to find it..

I hope the search function being gone is a temporary thing..

Ah, found an explanation in another thread:
"We've temporarily turned it off so the servers don't die.
In the meantime you can use Google's site search option. You use that by adding " site:social.bioware.com", removing the quotes of course, to any Google search you do."

I actually was trying that the other day, but I didn't feel it gave me the results I thought I'd get. Maybe my search-fu is just weak. :/

The forum's own search is just so crippled, I recommend against using it.
Beyond that, I agree that the method of recording and reading back the post datestamp is just not good enough.

That was nice - searching for an hour for a search button or link.
I guess it is better for the servers if people spend hours looking around to find what they need. And, it must also be better for the servers for people to create multiple threads about the same thing. Maybe searching is real intensive on the servers, but I have some doubt that saving the server from search stress is actually saving anything. Wouldn't it be less of a burden for people to come here, search, find what they need fast, and get back to the game, rather than spending an hour going through page after page to find what they are looking for?

Hah! I just created a new thread because I didn't see this one the first time I looked. That search feature would have come in handy right about then.
