I just started act 2 with my level 12 rouge.  And I had respec'd my character Just before Entering the Deep roads.  Now the thing i noticed after leaving the deep roads, is I have all my abilitys that I picked prior to my respec.  I have 17 ability points used as of right now and without using any of the tomes yet to add more.

Is this the right amount I should have or did the game glitch and use my skill points automatically for points I had used previously. I ask cause I thought you only gain one per level. and the only way to add more is to use tomes.

I think its a glitch, same thing happened to me. I noticed that happened when using the respec potion. At one point, for some reason it didnt "clear" 3 of my abilities but still gave me the points back. So now i have 13 skill points at level 7. Im making sure i save before i respec now as it doesnt happen every single time. i tested it.

Agreed I think it's bug with the re-spec and auto-save. Because if you re-spec after wards you don't get those extra points back. But if i re-load an auto-save they all come back again. I not going to depend on this too much as a patch my cripple my character.

It's possible that it has similar problems to the respec tomes in DA:A e.g. take off all of your armor and turn off all sustained abilities or you will have glitches.
