Aside from the self help forum, there appears to be a problem. Looking at the codex, it claims he became the Warden Commander when in fact, he left through the eluvian with Morrigan. I didn't think anything of the codex until I met Alistair and he mentioned that the Warden was visiting Ferelden soon. WTF?

Did you import your save or use one of the default ones the game had pre-built for you?

And if you did import your save, did you import the right one?

Yes, I know I did and in fact, I read it before I even put it through. I was very thorough with that playthrough because I planned for that DA:O to be my import file. Everything on the synopsis was correct and that's why this doesn't make any sense.

Just checking. There are others that are also having this kind of confusion in another thread: http://social.biowar...4/index/6444550

DA:O+A+DLC gets a little clouded on when certain events happen. Hawkes story bounces around a lot in between events theres not a lot of clarification on when exactly he leaves with morrigan through the eluvian and they might hand wave that portion or maybe he comes back? If we're thinking of the same codec then thats between awakening and witch hunt when hes most definitely rebuilding the wardens still.

Yes, but he went searching for Morrigan right after Awakening in my game, though, it didn't outright say that, it never stated he stayed either in the epilogue. Awakening was two years after Origins and it was maybe only a couple years after that. I'm already in year seven, so there should be notice that he's just up and disappeared. =/

Pretty much nailed it doesnt mention when exactly he goes the most obvious explanation is that alistair goes back to meet the warden in denerim who tells him hes finally going back after morrigan and is now gone just in time for leliana to tell the seeker hes gone just like hawke is.

I saw Leliana before I saw Alistair and she barely even mentioned the Warden, nor did she even mention his disappearance.

Awakening actually takes place 6 months after Origins, with Witch Hunt being the epilogue of the game as it takes place after all the other events. So if your Warden lived through Origins, they became the Warden Commander in Awakening, and then disappeared after Witch Hunt. My Warden joined Morrigan and left with her through the Eluvian. I haven't checked out my codex of my Warden in DA2 yet though, I'll do that tonight to see how it turned out.

So, it all depends, on what exactly your Warden did. It appears you played Awakening, though, based on the fact that it calls your Warden the Warden-Commander. So even if you DO leave with Morrigan, you were still considered the Warden-Commander after the events of Origins, even if you didn't play Awakening at all.

And, Sharkey has it right. You also need to remember that, Only Prolouge of DA2 is during the events of Origins - The first year of life in Kirkwall for Hawke basically covers Awakening, as well...We're not sure exactly WHEN Witch Hunt takes place, but the World Map for it states it has been a few years since the end of the blight. How that factors into Hawke's Story, though, is something the writers would have to tell us, and I doubt they're eager to share that.

On top of that, Between the final battle in DA2 and the interrogation, sometime has passed - Enough for Hawke to have vanished as well.

TL;DR:

Your Warden is considered the Warden-Commander after the events of Origins regardless of what happened in the end.

I understand that my Warden is considered Warden-Commander in the Codex of DA2. However I just wish the codex would mention that he went through the Eluvian with Morrigan (because on my import summary it said I did). I didn't hear mention of that at all in DA2.
