Listen to the conversation between Cassandra and Leliana at the ending of the game (at least mine).. not only has the Champion up and disappeared but so has the Warden (if they were still alive)...

Arguably 2 of the greatest heroes of their age despite whatever choices they made.. and they both disappear.. I can't wait to see an expansion or Dragon Age 3 explain this..

Also while i'm discussing the ending.. I loved Anders in Awakening but couldn't they have just made a new mage character instead of turning Anders into a mass-murdering templar hating psychopath who just so happens to be possessed by a spirit?

Because Anders is cool. Justice was okay as well.
Templars just annoy me with their attitude and peeper tendencies.

And besides, psychopaths are people too!

I was pleasantly surprised to see things in the world of Thedas shaken up. Morrigan talked about "change" coming to the world but sometimes people need change to set them free...
She wasn't kidding.
I'm eagerly awaiting more of the story.

If you listen to Leliana at the end she says the disappearance of both is no coincidence as well. Interesting....

My Mage Hawke probably left in disgust after the ending

Goes through all that: losing his little sister, having his brother's lifespan drastically shortened simply to save his life in the deep roads, mom dieing, trying to show Fenris and Sebastian that all mages aren't maniacal monsters who consort with demons. He fights for the rights of mages to be free from what he considers slavery.

And he gets: Mages who resort to consorting with demons, and throwing of their slavery to the Circle by immediately turning to the forbidden school of magic that hypocritically lets them turn other people into their slaves. . .

Well, they have to. Why else would Bioware have built up so much hype around Flemeth and given her a new Character Model and let her raid Morrigan's Makeup?
It's no coincidence that change is coming to the world, and everything is falling apart and the two people who could actually do something about it vanish totally and utterly regardless of the choices you made.

really hope this isn't something they leave hanging.  It seems like a big deal, after all.

If they are going to ruin my Warden's happy ending, I certainly want to hear why!  Now I can't just role-play that she lived happily ever after married to her true love and the Queen of Ferelden.  I really don't mind if Bioware has something else in mind, but I hope they delve into it more instead of just telling me that my happy ending didn't happen and laughing evilly.

I'm assuming they are talking about your Orlesian warden if your fereldan one was killed...

I actually just finished the game like 10 minutes ago and i really hope they dont do DA3 with the Warden/Hawke and some new guy i hope they just do a DLC for DA2 to try and progress the story. I mean the ending is pretty f'd up i sided with the mages but all the aftermath makes me believe the Qunari have the right idea. As for the Flemeth/Morrigan stuff i believe that will be DA3s focal point. But who knows we only have to wait another 2 years to hear about it.

My Hawke sailed off into the sunset with Isabella so his disappearance isn't exactly surprising, and my Warden went with Morrigan, so I guess I rolled the canon storyline.

I still say it'll be the OGB in DA3.

My warden king disappearing is old news, since he went through the mirror with Morrigan.

Aww, you Morrigan people are lucky!  I wish my Warden didn't apparently get abducted from her husband's side.  :(  As of now, my Hawke has good reason to disappear.  Her boyfriend is probably #1 on Kirkwall's Most Wanted at this point, soooo...

Oh no, now I'm picturing Hawke and the Warden bound and gagged in Flemeth's lair.  :crying:

Well, for those of us who have played Witch Hunt it would appear that the Warden has disappeared with Morrigan though the mirror. (I truly believe this is canon). As for Hawke.... hmmm... I have no idea how long Witch Hunt takes after or before the end of DA2, but I wonder if Merrell and her trying to rebuild the mirror has anything to do with it?

IMO I think Flemeth obviously has something to do with it, but she has always been one to sit on the side-lines and have things work out their own way (which seems to be HER way). So I doubt that she turned into a dragon and swooped up Hawke.

I think it was Flemeth or maybe the Dalish Elf Keeper that said something that there are only a few things in this world that are more powerful than a promise kept? Am I being too mushy if I say one of those things is love?

. . . why would my Warden leave her husband behind to go somewhere unknown with Morrigan?

This; I don't think the Warden leaving with Morrigan in Witch Hunt is canon, just like the devs have confirmed that even the Old God Baby won't be a canon forced down our throats.  For one thing, if that was a decision they were encouraging or pushing in a canon direction, I think even characters who didn't romance Morrigan would be able to go with her.  And they can't.

Anyway, remember the Grey Wardens we bump into at the end of Act 2?  They made lots of ominous and cryptic comments about important things going on that they had to see to.  Could this be connected to the Warden's whereabouts?

lol I was surprised that a few of your actions made in the first game are ignored but I guess in the name of continuity it has to be done
