Are you reading Mass Effect Evolution? It is the new series from Dark Horse Comics featuring the back story of teh Illusive Man. Not only is it great to look at, what with its beautiful art, it is written by BioWare's own Mac Walters, the lead writer of Mass Effect 2 &3.

Im seriously not a fan of this comic. The female Turians killed me and the inconstancies have killed me. Bioware, I normally agree with you with the decisions u make and the products u have to your name, but this comic is a little below what u guy can produce

Okay, I like comics. I like Mass Effect.
But I do not like Mass Effect comics.
Hate to be a supreme whiner, but I believe they are honestly bad. The story's a mess (which is sad because Mac does a great job with the games), and while the art is very nice from a strictly technical standpoint (love the inks!), it fails to represent the characters properly.
Usually I don't b*tch about this sort of thing in a news thread, but seriously, I think you guys can do better.
Anyway, I'm going to go lurk and wait for Arrival.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Chris!

bearing in mind the original mini-series sold out, and this has (apparently) been doing pretty well, too, i would have thought they could have gotten a better artist by now - francia has reverted to "terrible" after a slightly better start to the series than the last two... oh and does no-one vert the scripts for continuity with the series bible anymore?
oh, and: please don't ban me from my owned, physical, singleplayer games for having an opinion. because i'd sue you.

Issue One was great, Issue Two was a downer.
Hope they can pick up the pieces with this next one.

Based on the summaries I've read the comic books are so much fail. Boring to a fault. Hardly anything worth noting has occurred....
I doubt 3 will change that.

I liked Redemption better so far. While I enjoy every bit of info on the ME Universe I can get my hand on.... I can't help but think they've screwed up the whole Reaper-husk thing what with Ben being aware/responsive/and communicable

I like Evolution so far... it's not great, and things could have definitely been done better, but I just enjoy it for what it is... a comic expanding the universe... it's best not to have high expectations going in though, especially after the Liara comic.
BW should have struck a deal with Marvel. I think collaborating with Marvel could have gotten them better comic artists, since the art hasn't been great so far. As for the story, BW should really focus on the lore, and try not to contradict itself. Had they had a few people who knew the lore like the back of their hands (like some members on these forums), I think a lot of the story inconsistencies could have been avoided and made the story more enjoyable to core ME fans.
