Dear Bioware:

If you had just given us the same gameplay as Dragon Age Origins, similir quality level of story, and upgraded graphics for Dragon Age 2, I would have been happy with that. What you released is pure BS to milk the franchise. This game is nothing more than a 3D Diablo 2. CLICK CLICK CLICK it's completely mindless, and we all know you rushed this game to milk the franchise because of EA.  I'm just going to rush through the game as fast as I can to see the ending, but I am not buying any of your Dragon Age 2 DLC or expansion packs, because the game is garbage, and it's to late to patch it and salvage the game.

So in conclusion if you had just given us the same gameplay of Dragon Age Origins, and updated graphics most of your fans would have been happy. Yet this bastardized game is passed off as Dragon age 2, when it is clearly not a sequel, it's just a poorly rushed game to milk the franchise. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES FOR DRAGON AGE 3.

I'd say DA:2 is still a superb title. It's far better than most games.

But as always with sequals people expect too much and then bash on EVERYTHING that isn't exactly as in the first game. In a month or two when all the crying and disappointment has died down and people try the game for what it is the player reviews will go up.

Also did i miss something? All these people claiming you have to click all the time in combat? You don't have to click any more than in the first one as far as i've noticed. You select an enemy and your character strikes for you all you have to do is use skills, just like in the first one.

Actually people expect that a squel is in some way similar to the first game.

Because a sequel should build on what went before not rip it out and start over.

By then the game will be in the bargain bin.

I think you're dramatically overstating the changes between DA:O and DA2.

If that's the criteria, then I believe Dragon Age II has done well. :^$

It IS built upon the previous game. It's similar in most ways actually and it is the same world and timeline.
It's not supposed to be the same game with new graphics. That would be horrible.

And this game won't be in the bargain bin by that time either. This game will sell wether you're disappointed because of unrealistic expectations or not.

And it is similar to the first game. Claiming otherwise would be moronic.

Price has already dropped by £5 at the place I normally order from. Once it hits the supermarkets it will be £20 within a month. Dead Space 2 was.

I know of several game franchises that don't follow that formula.  Nothing wrong with shaking things up.  And I for one haven't seen any changes to how they handle things that were game breaking for me.  But your milage may vary.

Huh? How many "fans" do you know wanted a streamlined inventory, a differant dialogue system, and a drastically shorter game? In fact if I may generalize a bit, one can say that the changes in DA2 fly in the face of what most fans of DA:O wanted for in a sequel.

I agree, I think it is a success, people need to get over complaining how its not the first game come again. Sure DA2 has some problems, but so did Origins, people just tend to forget those and think its the best game ever ( I liked DA:O but it was not)

since everyone is entitled to their own opinion, here is mine.
this game is far way better than origins. its like going super saiyan, you have better powers, but it always comes with its downside.

the combat from origins SUCKED ASS,too slow, too boring, too much of a lustlacking game.. eww.
i love dragons, swords, knights, magic and anything in that age,so thats why i bought dragon age,i just did'nt expect it to be so slow... EEWWW!!!

this 1 brings dragon age to life,it shows what combat with magic should look like.

if there is in fact a dragon age 3 in the making, i hope they bring in the play style of this 1.
