In DAO, we were told that half elfs will look completly himan.  There is great speculation that Alistair may infact be half elf.  But when we meet the half elf mage in DA2, he looks exaactly that - half elf.  Has the lore now changed?

I always thought it was stupid to ignore genetics completely and make them wholly human without any elven features. Perhaps it can be explained away in DAO that the elves were essentially shorter pointy eared humans. In DA2 there is a clearly marked difference in features and Feynariel (or whatever his name was) clearly reflects both sides (though he has human ears and is considered a human).
Since Alistair in DA2 looks wholly human...now I begin to wonder about the whole "Fiona was his mom" angle...
