I've got a loooong way to go I think, but here is where I'm at so far with the Leliana Mod based on the Sacred Ashes trailer: http://i99.photobuck...elianaTest1.jpg

Remember, its still a rough draft...

i gotta agree shes cuter but on the other hand shes less "malice" by the looks. For the sake of her personality i would stay with original if she wasnt such a hag

Old one was more suiting for her I think.][ Small eyes gave her a more dark appearance

Hmm.... married men don't use the word "wifey". That's how single guys imagine married guys talk...

Thanks OP. will be waiting for it.

@Wretched Gnu. Chill bro. no need to derail the topic. We get it. you don't like the OP's mod. So, just end it. No need to continue this pointless arguement.

Yes, you can't have that child-version with Claudia Blacks voice / personality! :)

The Claudia Black-voice + the current personality / model is a perfect mix.

Making her a child with that voice / personality isn't working as well. :)

The v2.0a model seems very suitable to CB's voice for me. I just don't like vanilla Morrigan's squinty eyes.

I have not read all 7 pages of this thread. But, what I'd like to see is a mod to put some weight on her bones. Her arms are really skinny.

For someone so intent on disparaging any opinion not your own you sure pull a lot of stuff out of your ***.  People, both married and single, use a fantastic variety of terms and colloquialisms that you yourself never do.  See, I can make blanket statements about everybody else too.  Unless you have some sort of scientific study on the lexicon of the average married english speaking male, or even one on what the average english speaking male finds attractive in a woman, you need to stop spouting personal opinions as if they actually held any merit.

You prefer the original character model, we get it, you can stop now.  I for one prefer the new model as the original had disproportionately small eyes and an overly large bottom lip.  Then again, I personally prefer "cute" faces on women, regardless of their personality.

Now I wish that I had gotten the PC version for these faces.  I'm liking the model for Leliana too.  I love how she looks in the Sacred Ashes trailer and even your initial attempt is an improvement on the in game model, in my opinion of course.

I don't know why you're intent on both making rather insulting comments and being a bit of a douche, it's uncalled for, Drak actually bothered to make an effort and change something that bugged him about the game, and as you can clearly see he's not alone in wanting a different look for Morrigan, if you don't like it, then just leave it well enough alone, I personally think it's brilliant that he can even be bothered to share it with the rest of us.

There's no accounting for taste, it's all subjective, and FYI, I call my girlfriend wifey, we're doing just fine thank you.

Now about that Leliana revamp Drak.. ;)

Here was the screenshot of my first Leliana Sacred Ashes test build if you didn't see it: http://i99.photobuck...elianaTest1.jpg

As I said, its still a rough draft as it got late and I had to get some sleep, but I wouldn't mind some feedback (preferably constructive and not about how I've disneyfied her or am a plastic surgery pusher because I'm modding her).

The thing that annoys me most is there is almost no way to get the sort of eyeshape she has in the face shots of that trailer, so I have to do my best artist's interpretation.  Plus this skin tone is slightly taner than I'd like (tone #4) while tone #2 is too pale.  You really need a tone in between them, but tone #3 is yellow skin.

Does everyone think those green eyes work?

I imagine I'll have a version 1.0 to upload tonight.  At least I hope, since I actually want to start playing the game again, lol.

Perhaps a side by side comparison is in order for better judgement?

My apologies ... yes, I was refering to side by side with original Leliana.

Maybe its just because she's making an angry face in that trailer image. I'm certain she looks way better if she was smiling.

Well, I'll never be exact anyway since its nearly impossible.  I promise she'll still look pretty in the end, while sticking with the spirit of the trailer and mirroring what areas I can, heh.

I prefer the original version of Morrigan. The mod is well made, but it doesn't suit her character, she's less attractive as well. But all of that is personal taste.

Yes... the tip of her nose is higher than some other people's, the bridge is narrow, her cheekbones are high but unpronounced, and the outer ends of her eyelids have some weight to them (almost like -- ugh -- some Asian eyes look!)

For god's sake, what is Bioware doing to me -- she looks like a unique individual!  Would somebody please homogenize her before I get sick over here?

Wretched Gnu, troll of the Dragon Age forums, slayer of all forms of personal preference!

Because, if you think one face is ugly, it must mean you think all faces aside from one are ugly! lol.

Hey, by the way, congratulations. I think that is 3 posts in a row you made without using adolescent ever other sentence. :D

I think the green eyes work very well, I see what you mean about the eyeshape though.

I did actually wonder quite a bit about the skin tones, it does feel somewhat detached that number 3 for whatever reason is a sickly yellow. There's currently no way of adding your own skin tones is there?

Hmm, you know, I'm thinking about it, and though I don't think its been done yet, I suppose its theoretically possible, considering the toolset gives you the option to browse for other files.

However, the texture files all have weird file types and endings, and I'm not sure if those are openable by photo shop or if there is a converter yet.

If there is a file converter, or those files can be opened by art programs, adding new skin tones and even eye colors would be relatively easy.

Your efforts are excellent. I'm embarassed to admit I didn't actually realise that was supposed to be Leliana in the trailer! I think it didn't really click.. Oh well. Anyway, just replied to say your initial draft of Leliana has a certain Charlize Theron look about her (start by looking at the mouth) ;) And, that's not meant as a criticism btw.

Just downloaded and used your Morrigan mod. While she looks attractive for sure, I think your softening of her chin pulls a little too far away from her portrayal in the game.

I think the concept art and how she ends up in the game conflict, which may be why. I remember in an interview that Kate Mulgrew described Morrigan as innocent. I'm not so sure that holds true to her in the game.

Perhaps you could offer a more middling option, somewhere between the concept art which portrays her as fairly innocent imo and the end result of something too cynical to be considered truly innocent. Perhaps reintroduce the sharper chin.
