So I just finished act 2, killed the arishok and all that.  Im romancing Merrill, so the first thing I did was go to my house, where she said she was go over to her house for a while.  So I go there, and a cutscene triggers where she is crying in front of the mirror because 'they are all dead, and she is dead, and her clan would kill her on sight because of what she did... etc" 

I have no idea what she's talking about.  Who is dead? what happened?  Im usually a pretty strict story follower, never skip any cutscenes or anything, but I think I missed something important.

I was forced to stumble through the resulting conversation where I told her that she wasnt alone, because I would be with her, and that it wasnt her fault.  But for all I know my character has previously seen her stab someone in the face in the middle of hightown.

Can anyone fill me in as to what is going on?

This glitch happened for me too. It's supposed to give you her companion quest but instead it plays the ending scene from said quest. If you keep talking to her you should still be able to do the quest in question, but you won't get this scene again at the end of it (which might have bugged it out for me, not sure).

Haha. Its pretty bad when when you cant avoid spoilers even when in the game. ill keep talking to her and hopefully Ill still be able to work the quest out of her.
