Hi all!

Need some input... I'm still at the early staged of the game but I am very frustrated with my SnS tank build. I would like some input on how to improve it. Here are the stats so far:

Level 6
Str: 18
Cun: 18
Con: 16

Damage: 24 DPS (13)
Attack: 80% (97)
Defense 43% (95)
Armor 53% (184)

Abilities:
Taunt
Shield Bash
Pommel Strike
Turn the Blade (sustained)
Shield Defense (sustained)
Perception (passive)

The problems I am having boil down to the following:

1. Can't hold aggro for long becuase "Taunt" seems to have a long cooldown (20s).
2. With both "Turn the Blade" and "Shield Defense" enabled I run out of stamina fast.
3. For some reason, Bethany will not heal while I am injured (just keeps auto-attacking). This happens a lot.

Any suggestions on how to improve my tank build? I am still at the very early stages of the game, so starting over is not out of the question.

Thanks!

F

1. Having a Rogue in your party using Goad on you and/or Armistice on your teammates will probably help you a lot. In addition, you might consider taking a look at Fearless Synergy (upgrade to Battle Synergy in the Battlemaster tree), which redirects 50% of all of your companions' threat to you.

2. Remember that you don't have to charge into battle with these abilities active; sustained modes reduce your maximum stamina, but they only affect your current stamina if your current is greater than the new maximum. Beyond that, the Battlemaster tree has Bolster, which will allow you regain stamina for at will (at the cost of the time it takes to execute the animation).

3. It may just be that Heal is on cooldown; it can only be used once ever 40 seconds,

Make sure that your tactics are setup properly. If you have a tactic that says "Enemy -> Attack" above a tactic that says "Ally Injured -> Heal" then as long as the condition to attack an enemy is met, your healer will never trigger the Heal tactic.
