A nice thing about this game, is you don't really have to limit yourself to one.
Personally, I love DW Rogues - however I also keep a good bow in my inventory (you can get plenty as drops, keep the best) and switch out the daggers for that if I can see an enemy at range, this is very useful for large groups of enemies as you can often kill a few before the rest get to you.
What I would highly recommend though is pick one to start with, and stick with it (level up all the skills in either the Dual Weapon or Archery tree, plus all the upgrades) then if you wanted you can do the other. The reason I say this is because if you mix and match too much your character can become jack of all trades master of none
Also if you played Origins - don't worry archery is actually good in this game.
It's only level 8 currently, but you could always look at what i'm doing with my rogue if you need some inspiration.
