 So, I just started Act 3 and I noticed a Journal entry about Merrill so I went to talk to her and find her crying  and all "She's dead!" and saying how Keeper Marethari died and I'm like "Wtf? Did I miss something?" cuz I most definitely didn't remember anything about her dying, but I thought maybe it was just old age or something...'cept later I go to Sundermount and find the Keeper there, still very much alive...along with some either REALLY old elf who definitely LOOKED like a Keeper and who I actually had a bried conversation with...so either Keeper Marethari shouldn't be there...or she's going to die later and that convo I had with Merrill just wasn't supposed to happen yet...

UPDATE: So I just completed Merrill's last companion quest, and - surprise, surprise - we speak to Keeper Marethari at the beginning, then she turns into a demon and we slice her up into tiny bits...right after she knifes Merrill...which apparently doesn't affect Merrill AT ALL... Anyways, after this I went to Merrill's house but there was no available conversation...so I'm thinking that the little "Convo Quest" that's supposed to trigger after the last companion quest (like "Questioning Beliefs" for Isabela and "Anniversary" for Varic) was just somehow triggered early.

I never got the Merril conversation after her quest in Act 3, which surprised me.
