I can't get my game to activation with supid ****ing EA.

Says can't activate with this account then goes on to inform me im offline when im not...

Why can't anything with EA just be a simple i buy the game, i install it ,i PLAY it without having to jump though so many damn hoops.  Any help would be nice. Im not running any fire walls and can log onto EA though other things. Also can't find a way to talk to anybody from EA. Dragon Age 2 is not on their support stuff yet...Guessing they thought nothing would go wrong....

I'm having the same problem!!!!! I have purchased the retail version and everything installs fine till the product activation. It doesn't recognise my EA account log in details, even though obviously it's correct as I've logged into here...thus I have purchased a $90 game I can't even play. Has anyone found a solution...from the forums there appears to be quite a few of us EA!

if you try, you will find that you cannot use EA downloader as well. the 2 issues are related. I've written about this here, tweeted about this and even blogged about this. no action from ea. dragon age 2 activation is based on ea downloader which in turn is based on an insecure version of internet explorer. when MS patched IE to prevent drive by virus installs, it evidently messed up ea downloader & the dragon age 2 activation.

the issue seems to also be related to about a dozen tcpip ports which are required to be open, (guess they never heard of internet security). however, I by passed my hardware firewall completely and connected directly to the cable modem, leaving all ports open & still could not connect to activate, so I suspect that it is definitely IE related.
