Oh on a semi-related note. SecuRom has been found on DA:2. There is no mention of it that I'm aware of before or even during installation. But it's there.

I suspect you could look to the title of the thread to find the point.Keele wrote...

Quoting is there to provide context. If you want propriety, use PM.Keele wrote...

The point of this wonderful piece of news is that it absolutely, positively should have been disclosed. One of the big pre-release forum topics for every major release is "what kind of DRM does it have?" There's a reason for this, some computers have weird reactions to some types of copy-protection, some people (like me) want to know if the installation hassle will be worth it, and others are purists that want nothing to do with certain types of DRM. I'm of the opinion that publishers can dump whatever crap they want on a game, but they absolutely may not mislead customers for any reason whatsoever. It's about business ethics, not copy-protection: If someone only wants to buy pink-and-green-striped CDs, you don't lie to them and say that's what you're selling. And you sure as heck don't push them through a click-wrap license before they have a chance to figure out what you did.
Would any EA employees like to offer up an explanation at this point?

Please use the big thread in the Dragon Age II forum to dicuss the "ban" situation.
Please do not spam the forums. Thank you.
End of line.
