Edit the file C:\\Users\\<yourusername>\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings\\DragonAge.ini

I've elimited line items that pertain to my user, player id, email etc :) Obvious things I won't comment on, but special things I will put ()'s next to the line items. Just don't include my descriptions in your file! :)

[VideoOptions]
ResolutionWidth=2560
ResolutionHeight=1600
FullScreen=1
UseDirectX11Renderer=1 (1 for DX10/11, 0 for Dx9)
UseVSync=1
GraphicsDetailLevel=1 (0-3 which is low to very high)
AntialiasingLevel=0 (2,4, or 8 - the game WILL accept 16 or 32 also that will unlock the slider to go to 16 or 32)
TexturePack=1 (use hi rez texture pack if installed)
DisableMRT=1 (disable multiple render targets. A performance boost.. 1 means game won't fully do all rendering and lighting effect on every character, npc, monster, etc around you)
DisableAspectRatioCorrection=0
RefreshRate=0 (dont mess with this unless u know what ur doing)
PresentThreshold=5 (unknown)
UseTrilinearFiltering=0 (0 if u plan to use AF, 1 if you aren't)
UseTripleBuffering=1 (only useful if Vsync is on, helps to stablize frame rates)
UseDesktopGamma=0 (should always be 0)
Gamma=1 (The game normally lets u only go as high as 1 which is TOO dark on my monitor. Set this to 2 for SUPER bright. This will also unlock the "1" limit to this setting and the game, if u set it to 2, will let you step it down in .01 increments)
EnableShadows=0 (ahh this is a nice feature.. if you like a lot of the dx10/11 feature, but get bogged down by them, 0 will disable shadows on most things to speed thigns up)
EnableLatentQueries=0 (unknown, even a google search turned up nothing)
EnableSSAO=0
EnableHighQualityBlur=0
EnableDiffusionDOF=0
AnisotropicFilteringLevel=16
ForceLowSettings=0 (appears to have no effect even when enabled)

Hm, this looks like it has potential. I'm completely unable to select the DX11 renderer despite the fact my card has the latest drivers, latest version of DX installed and is DX11 supportive (GTX 470)

Will give it a go, unless the tech-bods around here have some other suggestion.

That only happens if 1) u have Vista w/o the proper service pack, 2) u have win 7, but didn't get the dx11 update from MS (but the game should have installed it), 3) your video drivers are out of date
