Looks out of place in the game and not as nice as a lot of the normal armour. I can't see me using it just because it asceticly look out of place.

It's not a complaint or a big deal it's free after all but does anyone else not really like the way it looks in the videos of the game?

Or is it only me?

I mean I like the blood dragon as a game logo but it looks odd on the armour in the game.

Yes, I agree the glowing visor sucks. Everything else will be fine if the lore works.

ME2 is where it will look out of place.

Didn't you bring up this exact thread on the official site's forums?

Well yes it will be more out of place there I know, just seems a bit of a gimic really. Certainly not a big selling point to me.

Sorry I honestly didn't know there had been a thread on this topic before. Ok if people don't want to talk about it for some reason.

When I read the title, the first thing (before I even clicked the link) I thought was '...sucks, yes'.

It really does look somewhat out of place. Same in ME2, but I don't really care for that game anyway (yes, I know, put me to the torch if you like)

Why would I put you to the torch I asked what other people thought, I have no problem with you holding a different opinion if I did I wouldn't have asked.

No, I meant the fact that I am not all hyped up by Mass Effect 2. I didn't really like Mass Effect either. Sci-fi just isn't my style.

Unless this thread is a trap and you're trying to get a list of people to go after.

I don't think it would have been realistically possible to create armour that looks appropriate in both DA:O and ME2. I suspect that was, however, the spec of the guy creating it. No real surprises how it came out (which is not that bad, considering, but yeah - I agree with you).

You might be happy to have revealed to you that the armor looks different in both games.

I think I kind of agree with you here, I could imagine both versions of the Blood Dragon armour as the result of such a conflicting brief. Which is why it has ended up looking a little out of place in both games IMO.

Anyway no big deal I just wondered if I was alone in thinking this.

Yes I've seen both and IMO neither one manages totally suit the Ascetic of the game in question.

I imagine because the artist was told they had to look connected despite the two very different games they would be in.

Anyway since it's free and I don't have to use it I don't have any real problem with it.

The ME2 one looks bad ass IMO, but the DAO one...not so much.

It doesn't interest me much. The armor you get from that Zombie girl in Warden's Keep looks awesome though.

Again I agree although I don't really like either and can't come up with a sensible in game reason it would be in ME2, of the two the ME2 one looks cooler and ironicly less out of place in the game some how.

Yes, I completely agree that the armor looks extremely out of place, like some tacked-on mod. You know the kind. The kind of mods that add 500 weapons to Oblivion and none of them fit into the general style of anything else in the entire game.

I could of course be entirely wrong. It's hard to judge based on screenshots.

That's actually quite a feat. They've done two completely different armors for two completely different settings in two completely different games - and managed to create two different styles that doesn't fit into either of said games.

That takes some kind of rare skill.

I completely disagree. I don't think either look out of place, though I don't particularly like the look of the DA:O armor.

IDC honestly. A slightly sci-fi armor in a fantasy universe looks kinda cool to me, just like a slightly fantasy armor in a sci-fi setting.
