Im act 2 bethany is taken away by templars so my question is what happens if your mage and bethany died
will carver not be in act 2 and why?
Question if you choose carver....

No, only if you leave him behind during the Deep Roads quest
If he does then he (and Bethany if you have her) get tainted and die, unless Anders is in your party then they become Wardens
