Currently giving it a spin.

The fog of war is nice but the mapping seems to take a vacation after the first fight unless you save and reload.

The rations seem to go extremely fast and be pretty expensive compared to what money you can gather by unloading extra weaponry, I don't remember needing to pay that much attention to them in the original game, except maybe in that chapter in the forest where there were no conventional shops and what you found was somewhat likely to be spoiled or poisoned. But even then there was enough around that you didn't feel *too* pressured to go forward without checking the place over first if you felt like it.

There's something odd with the fights, maybe on my end for failing to notice some new mechanism I should be taking advantage of.
- The armor you get at the start is described as something like chain mail or chain shirt but gives only +1 AC while everyone's attack bonus seem as per D&D usual, so Gorath & Locklear feel a bit like they're armored in wet paper.
- When the PCs get hit, the ennemies seem to score double damage, the usual for the weapon, and some extra self-inflicted magical damage. Weird. With that on top of the cardboard armors, I've yet to come out of an encounter with more than 2 foes without at least a character down, and Gorath seems a bit underwhelming next to the "average" moredhel ambusher.

Hey Ykhare, thanks for playing. Here are some replies to your helpful comments:

//The fog of war is nice but the mapping seems to take a vacation after the first fight unless you save and reload.

I don't know how to fix this- this is Lance Botelle's system, I'll alert him to the problem.

//The rations seem to go extremely fast and be pretty expensive...

This is easily fixed, but I don't remember it being a problem when I played through. There are several places where you can get rations for much cheaper than shops and pubs, and they're plentiful on slain enemies. You might be resting a lot; I've scripted the game to use up rations when resting, in addition to the normal amount eaten throughout the day. Perhaps I'll remove that feature.

//There's something odd with the fights...armored in wet paper...enemies seem to score double damage

-This is the weapon/armor repair system at work. When your armor is in poor condition (check the charges out of 50), you get "extra" damage dealt by a weapon, and if your weapon is in poor condition, the creature getting hit by that weapon is "healed" based on the weapon's condition. All the numbers you see flying by should reflect this.

-The Standard Kingdom armor should suck royally. However, the improvement with blessed items and better armors increases DRAMATICALLY as you find them.

-The combats should be pretty tough in the first chapter- the characters are in a scramble to reachto Krondor with tons of assassins on their tail, so it should feel a bit overwhelming. You might also have to use different tactics than you're used to with the NWN2 engine, since the weapons and armor are so different. After some practice, I was able to keep the characters alive through most of the battles.

Thanks again for playing! Please keep the comments coming, they're helpful.

Congrats on the release. You may want to consider re-submitting it, so that it can appear on the new modules list. That way you get to be on the front page of the NWVault and will get many, many more downloads.

Thanks for the advice M. Rieder. I posted a blurb about the release in the NWN2 Community News section; hopefully that will alert more downloaders.
