Dragon Age 2 is lacking more of the RPG element then the first one to me. First the armor and clothing cannot be switched, why? if you choose a warrior and end up picking up some nice mage armor whats the point of even having it? You can not give it to merril, anders, or bethany, the most you could do is sell it. After a while it gets boring looking at the same old armor after a while. second, the dialoge is not really there, in Dragon Age: Origins you were able to speak to your companions at any time, in Dragon age 2 you can only do it at certain points. Do not get me wrong i am liking the game so far, but it seems to me that this was rushed. Hopefully there will be some DLC in the near future that will provide new looks for the companions of Hawke... but until then ill deal with it. <_<

I agree.....at least show some skin like the nice armor in DAO! But i agree with you....i'm hoping for some cool DLC and i was hoping for an expansion like Awakening but don't see how after that ending.....

I don't mind how they did away with companion armour choices BUT I'm finding these forced dialogue areas (i.e to converse you either have them in your party when interacting with quest NPCs or you visit their "home" at a set time) kind of dissappointing. I wish companion conversations were more like DA:O rather than this.
