7 as i like rpg's dissapointment was not allowing change my companions armor for some its maybe minor but for me its big problem

I am hardcore first person RPG. My style of role-play is first person perspective ever since I play TES: Arena. I favor games like Bethesda's TES series and Fallout series. Every thing I view about the world is through the main character's eyes. I could never connect myself to characters using third person perspective like Dead Space 2, Alpha Protocol, Assassin Creed etc..., The reason I become the fan of NW, NW 2 and Origins is party based interaction, toolset and the ability to create my own story. I am explorer adventurer storyteller who love the freedom to do anything I want in the fantasy world that I create and live. Official story isn't my main priority which is why I can tolerate old NW's official campaign and expansion. BioWare's NW, NW 2 ( Obsidian ) and Origins never fail to deliver what I want. First person view dialogue system. toolset and Mod-ing community.

However, DA 2 never make any promises about toolset, it's world/story is too restricted due to the nature of story within story and third person narrative severely kick me out of the world/story preventing me entering Hawke's body and see his world through his eyes. Thus, I can't feel for Hawke. I cannot reach him just as I cannot reach Shepard. I cannot support this changes.

My first impression before DA 2 released was 8.5. Now I rate it 6.5/10.

I really like DA2. I give it an 8 as compared to the 10 I gave Origins. Really good game, but lacking in things that I love (I felt there needed to be a bit more one-on-one conversation with companions, a bit more build up of the romances, and the framed narrative made for some very unrealistic moments in the romances as well). I did prefer that I didn't end up with someone confessing their feelings in the middle of battles.

However, I did think the game pacing itself was better than Origins, where I could spend a few days in combat (deep roads) and then a few days talking to companions. I like that each playing session I can do both.

Origins was epic. DA2 is very good. Compare them and DA2 falls short, but on its own, DA2 is fine.

Edit: There were a few jarring bugs in the cameos that bothered me, but didn't lower my rating.  I hope for a toolset release soon, but that doesn't help people on consoles I suppose.

The only thing I liked about this game was that it was set in the DA universe. It tries to get away with cutbacks and somethings even lesser rpgs wouldn't be guilty of.

Lots of bad scores here, and this is the fan forum!
Also lots of bad user scores on metacritic.
I'm very wary of buying this game...
I hope BW don't fook up ME3...

Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Bioshock 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Metro 2033, The Witcher, Football Manager.

Dragon Age 2: 3/10

I rather play Lego Harry Potter on PC than DA2.

DA:O - 9 solid

DA:A - 7.5 (better than a 7 but not quite an 8 due to the silly way in which companion dialogue/interaction was handled... in addition to the bugs and things like the DLC items that I paid for not being acknowledged)

DA2 - 6 at the most

I'd say a 7/10. Good game, worth playing, but has its share of flaws. Not as good as Origins, which I'd give a 9.

I difficult game to score as it had many shortcomings.
If Bioware spend 6 more months on the game to fix re-used maps, top view, dialogue option selected meant something, and a better ending the game would have been a 9+.

My final decision is for an 8.2 score as i enjoyed parts of the game.

7,5 so far. Not bad, not great, a fun, flawed game.

For the sake of comparison, my fave Bio game is BG2 with 9,5/10 and my least favourite NWN OC 5/10. DAO was a 8,5-9/10

Amazing game, bugs are unpleasant. Would have been a nine if released without the flaws it has, I refuse to give any game a perfect rating.

DA:O and Mass Effect 1/2 are all nines in my book, and they are three of my favorite games. A game that recieves a 10/10 better be as perfect as the rating is, and i've yet to play a game that is without a single flaw.
