You cannot in good faith limit a persons ability to play a game because of a forum post.

Dragoon, shut the **** up. You're wrong and you're so blindly loyal to EA it's pitiful.

Nice join date...

Seriously you don't deserve anymore than that because your motives are tainted and you and your friends are only here to stir up trouble.

All they will get is "Nice join date..."

LOL. How does EA's **** taste? I'm impressed, actually, that you're able to type and blow someone at the same time. Lemme know when they ban you for some pointless reason. I'll be the guy seeding every copy of EA's games I can get my hands onto via torrent.

I want you to shut up too. You spent how many pages diverting the topic to discuss if the guy was lying (before it was all deleted)?

Look at my join date, you going to accuse me of being someone suspicious too?

If you're seriously defending a corporation's right to silence dissent, something is up with you.
He said a simple phrase, implying things that where neither racist nor illegal.

If you buy a Honda, you are well within your right to call Honda names- on their forums, even, and they wont come to your house and remove your vehicle. You might get banned from their forums, but not have your paid property taken away.

Stop selling out your consumer rights, and start backing your fellow man when he has his property taken away.Dont talk about EULAs and license we all know that doesnt stand in court every time it's been taken to it. Case in point, the Iphone Jailbreak case.

Stop being againts --the people-- .

Nice join date...

Image IPB at the silence comment I did actually like that.

I admit I'm trolling the ones with todays join date who specifically have only made one topic of discussion on there details which is this so called injustice. Because they are not regular forum members I doubt half of them such as the one I just replied too even own a single EA or Bioware game. They are people from other internet locations/forums coming here to rant and I'm quite tired of this witch hunt over a guy who does not himself pursue any such justice himself. Why? Because this is nothing more than an non EA/Bioware internet mob stirring trouble.

I am willing to talk to people who are regular forum members who have issue with the fact every company in the games and music industry has the same cluases in there EULAs so why the jump up and down now? It's simple it's because some claim was made and now /v/ and other members are stirring it up here.

"Stop selling out your consumer rights, and start backing your fellow man when he has his property taken away.Dont talk about EULAs and license we all know that doesnt stand in court every time it's been taken to it. Case in point, the Iphone Jailbreak case."

Thing is that exactly my point, this is no different to that so why is all these join today mostly people up in arms? It has to be over the one persons claim he was banned for something.

Pretty sure this is illegal. The EULA isn't even visible until after you've paid money for the game. They've basically stolen his money and not supplied a service. Lawyer up I say.

Either way it's rotten PR. This is all over the gaming community.

Not to defend Dragoonlordz, but it is a little odd how many trolls have showed up on this forum with no registered games.

Technically, they just took the right away to access his EA account. I'm pretty sure it's within their power to ban someones accounts. Of course he still owns the game and can make a new EA account. So he can play his games and still wear his wizard robes.

Mr. Woo, what we really want is a BioWare response to this issue. The air of silence isn't helping anyone and is only sparking heated discussions/debates.

But that doesn't mean I won't criticize BioWare at all.

yes it does
you've done nothing but champion EULAs the entire time you've been in either thread and it's been said time and time again that they don't amount to much.
you've got some Woo-sauce on your face. no, wait, other side.

And you think insulting going to help you like your friend does? Good luck with that.

You don't like it? Then hit the road.

I can't believe you have the audacity to complain for that jackass that deserved his ban, yet would antagonize this individual that has done absolutely nothing to you.

It's great to know where your loyalties lie, ****.

To make it clear, I have no registered games because I don't have a stable internet connection and I just joined recently. Using a mobile device... just throwin that out there.

But point or not, the throwing of insults is getting kind of old. Topic's having trouble keeping up.

If the guy only received a temp ban of 3 days... wtf are you crybabies whining about?

Contrary to the environment that the internet provides, there are negative consequences and repercussions for your actions.

When you act like a douche, jerk, moron, or pleeb, you have to deal the negative consequences of your actions. It could be worse.

And to you wannabe internet Spartacuses who are trying to talk about sueing:

If you think for one second that you would be able to hold any legal ground against a multimillion dollar corporation over something like this you've got another thing coming.

What team of lawyers wouldn't zero in on the fact that the guy was slandering their client's name on a public forum? You see slander is a real actionable offense. Enforcing a EULA is not.

I'm a complainer, but yes the reason why alot don't have their games registered on their current posting account is the fear of being banhammered by BioWare/EA which happened early on today to an unfortunate individual.

Just say what you mean.

They don't have the balls to risk for what they believe in.

um, people have already been banned as it seems for complaining, and threads disappear that don't praise the game, these thing baffle me as I never thought Bioware would do it, or are the forums suddenly overseen and regulated by EA?

This is nothing short of pure evil and outright theft. Holy ****ing God.

Until this bull**** stops, I am not spending one red cent on Bioware games in the future, or EA either.

If ANYONE at Bioware/EA says they believe in Freedom of Speech, we can now safely laugh right in their faces.

I'm not spending any of my money on this game as things stand now. If it turns out that the banned person deserved the ban and that the ban was for only 72 hrs, I might rethink.
I'm just glad I chose to preorder the Witcher 2 instead. Cost was only $36 and it will be DRM free.

If you read my post you will see that it is infact illegal. Atleast in the US.

The issue isn't the reason for the ban it's the severity of it.

We all understand that the user deserved to be banned from forums, however being banned from playing the game is a low blow.

In other words: The guy scratched BioWare/EA. BioWare/EA responded with a kidney punch.

Property laws have, time and time again, reigned over EULA in court cases.

That player owned the game, and EA taking it from him is illegal, regardless of what the EULA says.
