For some reason at the end of act 2 despite Isabela showing up and returning the relic, regardless of the dialogue choices I take, she always is gone at the start of act 3. I romanced her, did all her little missions, maxed out her friendship and regardless nothing works. If I duel the qunari leader she doesn't rejoin, if I take on the entire group of them she will fight with the rest of the group then disappear in the next act. What confuses me is she shows up and returns the damned relic as stated before. Am I missing something? Do I have to go some where for her to join again? do I progress through the story? From what I have read she rejoins automatically at the end of act 2 If you take the proper romance/friendly options.

You have to go to the Hanged Man tavern and speak to Isabela again. She left town after act 2 (fleeing Castillon, presumably) and only recently drifted back in again.
