Hi,
I am at the end of the game i defeated the Arch Demon and im King with Anora as my Queen.  I save my game and that is fine but there is one problem.

When i look at my codex it says that Alistair is king?! What happen?  I spent about 65 hours playing this game and did every side quest i could and i finally beat the game and the codex is screwed up and thinks that i made Alistair king when i didnt.  This really screws me up because now when i try to import my character into Dragon Age Awakening, it shows Alistair as king instead of me.  I should get Anora acknowledging me as her husband/king but instead i get Alistair.

Can anyone please help?  Has this happen to anyone?

Im an older gamer and it took months for me to beat this game and to have it save with a different ending then what i choose is very disappointing to say the least.  I just want to continue my story.  Whats the point of making decisions if they dont save and carry over to the next game?

Im frustrated...

Its funny/sad, i just got Dragon Age Awakening and i import my character...
The game starts and who do i see moments later?  King Alistair...
Thats funny, when i finished Dragon Age Origins i made my self king and Alistair was happy not to be king....
Errr...

If you were on PC then there are probably ways to change the flags used on the decisions made, and then tailor them accordingly. In console...we're stuck I'm afraid to have to tell you.

There are certain codex bugs but the epilogue slides seem to reflect the correct choices made during the game (at least in my experience though I will admit the human noble marrying Anora is not amongst my dozen plus games).

I have read that when Alistair is not king then the game does get bugged, though I always assumed that was the dialogue post-Lands Meet. It could be associated with that.

All I can suggest is to see whether you have an older save, pre-Lands Meet, and play through again but not have Alistair in the party (i.e. choose Loghain instead). I admit this isn't a solution per se, but as console players our choices are limited to say the least.

Hopefully someone else will have a different and more helpful suggestion regarding your problem. (Had a quick check, it seems others may have had the same issue but those threads die out quickly.)

I guess im out of luck, im use to mass effect and having the intergration between one and two seems perfect but not with the dragon age series.

Is it worth it to play awakening as a new character?... this totally sucks. Is DA2 worth playing without importing your character from the first one?

Actually there are minor issues in the Mass Effect series, namely Conrad Verner.

I think it's worth playing through Awakenings as an Orlesian Warden because I think the story makes a lot more sense, but that is just a personal opinion. Problem is you cannot import decisions from Origins into Awakening as a result (unlike what DA2 promises but I'm still waiting for mine to turn up so I won't comment); you get a default background.

noticed the same thing on mine I convinced Anora to marry me, and if I keep alistair at the landsmeet and have him kill Loghain, at the end whether I chosen to partake in the dark ritual or not alistair is dead, and I dont marry the queen.

It works for Loghain, oddly. I havn't started awakening yet but it kinda sucks because I'd like to keep Alistair alive, but I still want become king (prince-consort I really don't care)

I decided that i will still play Awekening, i think i will play as a new character. I enjoyed Dragon Age Origins and the way it wrapped up was good enough for me.

What is silly is the amount of bugs in Awakening. I tried playing the first 30 minutes of the game using my imported character and noticed Oghren was not showing up in the cutscenes but he was talking. Man what gives? Anyway, im going to start as a fresh character and see if i can play it without this weird glitch.

I had trouble with a couple of bugs in the fade in the black marsh after I reloaded it was fine, but man invisible skeletons is too much but awakening is worth it Anders is awsome, Velenna is pretty cool too

I've always described Awakening to a buggy mess. It would have been great if it wasn't so bugged.

And reload is the surest thing we console owners have to a fix. No wonder there's little in the way of help on the 360 tech boards.

i think i had a corrupt save file when starting awakening using a file import from origins, lucky me i always save about 2 or 3 different files about 30 minutes apart so i used the other file to import and so far so good, no glitches yet.
