So I just began playing Act II and I just got done doing Anders 'side mission' and I talked to him a few times and he kissed me and we went back to my place and made out by the fireplace (so cute). We talked afterward and expressed our undying love for each other and I invited him to stay at my home and he agreed. But now he is still at his medic station down in Darktown and when I go up to talk to him, all he says is, "I can't do this anymore." ???? o_O Is there a glitch or is this just what he does for now? I have experienced a few glitches so far and have had to revert to old saves and auto saves so that my game doesn't get screwed up (I even had the Prince permanently stuck in my group and had to go back several hours.) Does any one know if this is normal or is the game glitching again? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Probably post this in tech help or the companion/story/whatever subfora. It could be considered a bit spoilery.

Maybe your Hawke had plenty of quality instruction on combat but not enough on how to please a man?

Well he's only gay if you play that way I guess... in my canon, as in my playthrough, he is not. I guess one could look at it that way.

Really though having every character be bi is stupid, but you can't blame Bioware when hundreds of people beg for such a thing every time they release a game.

Be quiet, I for one am glad I wasn't forced to romance Isabella,  Merrill didn't **** around... literally.  Though, I still adore isabella... just not girlfriend material.

Depends. Your romance doesn't move into your mansion until Act 3, even after you have implied sex. And even then, they aren't IN your mansion until you finish all of their specific quests.

IE: I romanced Merrill, and she didn't actually appear in my estate until Act 3, after you complete her final quest (Which was killing the Keeper)

Anders doesn't live with you until the beginning of Act 3. Basically, you agree to let him live with you in Act 2, but he takes a little while to move his stuff in. :P

I don't really know what your reply has to do with my comment?  I was just saying Anders is gay if you choose him to be, straight if you choose him to be, bi if you want, etc. etc..  I don't see it as "he is definitely bi because both genders can romance him" I see it more as the player chooses the storyline.

StingingVelvet, Anders is canonically bisexual. He had a relationship with that guy Karl he tried to save in Act 1, the tranquilled one.

Hmmm... well of all the romanceable companions are canonically bisexual that is pretty stupid.

StingingVelvet, Fenris and Merill are Hawke-sexual. Anders and Isabela are bisexual.

That's actually a pretty good description. Anders and Isabela's sexuality is part of their character and storyline. It seems like Fenris and Merrill were made s/s options as an afterthought so people would stop b*tching. :P

It just smacks of political correctness to me, which annoys me. I'm that kind of person though, the kind of person who is annoyed by bending over backwards to please every social group. I'm not going to get super upset about it, it's a pretty trivial thing in the end, but making every love interest open to every gender just smacks you in the face with appeasement.

Wait, so you can have a gay relationship with Anders but can't have a straight relationship with Aveline? What gives?!

You can't have a gay relationship with Aveline either to be fair. :P

You can't have a relationship with Aveline because the storyline has a romance for her in the story. You butting in would either cause more issues or make the subplot null and void. I would romance her if I could since I love gingers, but its for the best. Can't be a proper rogue if your GF is captain of the guard. Posted Image

Frankly I'm suprised that all the LI are technically bi. But its a good thing. If they set the character up as a LI for the main character they should swing it the way the character is playing it. Just easier that way and more marketable.

Side Note: There are many straight women who would swing that way for Angelina Jolie and straight guys who would go for Justin Beiber. Hawke is just that charismatic. Posted Image

I don't like these all bi character crap. I mean right now we don't know what is cannon or etc since most of the characters are bi, I swear that Anders is gay but they make him bi because I guess that they were too lazy for make more romances. It's suck that they didn't make some straight characters like the first one

The characters are straight if you want them to be (okay not Isabella).

Bioware design practices seems to be 3 acts in a story and 4 LI. So that's standard. But I understand that Sebastien is a LI and he is a DLC. *shrug*

However, Sebastian is totally straight no matter Hawkes gender.  Male Hawke cannot even attempt to flirt at all with him.
