This is like finishing Mass Effect 2 in 15 hours which many people did. Those people aren't RPG fans. I finished ME2 3 times with each playthrough clocking at 30 hours. DA:O frist playthrough - 75 hours

^ That.
Also, screens for proof, Savegame named Epilogue and play time please.

You finished it in fourteen hours...WOW yeh I'm not buying this game for $60.00 for 14hrs of game play forget that.
Considering I'm 11 - 12 hours in and still on Act 1 (have about 36 - 40 gold atm with side-quests still to do, not sure how many), I'd say you shouldn't base your opinion on the game's length on completing the game in 14 hours.
Granted, I do read codex entries and such, but there's still much more content in the first act alone that takes you beyond 14 hours. I'm not sure how long act 2 and 3 are though, but I'm guessing act 2 is still meaty and act 3 is shorter. (Assumptions only)
Edit: Also, while I cannot verify this yet, the side-quests are supposed to add to the main plot no? And I'm guessing some of them lead to consequences etc. further down the line. Not to mention the consequences of main plot quests and such leading to different outcomes. I'd say there's a lot of replay value to be had with the game.
(By the way, I like how quests are given in the game based on choices made in DA: O. They might still be there though if you made different decisions in DA: O, but with a slightly different plot for the quests.)

You didn't have to do every side quest in Dragon Age: Origins to get the most out of the game.ErebUs890 wrote...

To get the most out of the game...you have to miss bits out. What?

Any RPG with less than 50 hours of solid content is a flat-out ripoff. Especially at $60
I agree for the most part. Exception is if the game has high replyability, good story, and multiple endings that make you keep coming back.

That said, I was pretty bored with the game midway, and was actually waiting for it to end. I must've played through DAO at least 10 times and I never had that problem.
