Spoiler alert - So I am giving Aveline this nice shield I find. And she gets all pissy with me? And why? She says "I had a shield, it belonged to Wesley. And you sold it."
Except I did not sell it. It is in my trunk in my estate. Specifically for roleplaying purposes. I keep named companion items specifiically for sentimental value, I could easily go and retrieve it and equip her with it.
Anyone know if you have this item in your inventory if the dialog is different? I found it very disappointing, also she needs to be a bit more grateful.
sigh - aveline gift

YEAH WELL IT HAD A TERRIBLE ARMOR VALUE, YOU GINGER FOOL.
But really, I'm not sure. I am disappointed to hear that she says that even if you didn't sell it, because I definitely did, and sorta **** bricks when I heard that line and thought the game was picking up on it.

I compulsively save before every companion conversation and I considered reloading and going back to my estate to pick up Ser Wesley's shield. I didn't, but I wish I had. Next time, I will. It's still possible to end that conversation with a friendship gain though, even if you did sell the shield.
