I just finished the game. I have mixed feelings.

Good stuff:
Character interactions are vastly improved, so much background chatter and so much of it actually well written and interesting
The individual companions are a lot more reactive and interesting
The dialogue choices are better than those in origins by quite some margin
Voice acting mostly incredibly good
Graphics a huge improvement (even if very sketchy in some areas, see horrible blocky cliffs and bizarre low res textures on elf faces etc)
Combat far and away superior to origins
Fluid, fun, much more interesting to play as your moves do a lot more
Awesome graphic design on the loading screens
Side quests not boring! GOOD LORD
Lots of replay value, I suspect

Cons:
Itemisation absolutely terrible
Too short
Only one dungeon in the entire game (Seriously :/)
Waaaay too much cut and paste on things like caves and side dungeons. Seriously. It's ridiculous.
internal game balance feels fairly off (all mage bosses go down instantly and never pose a challenge, etc)
Music only semi-present, and the interesting themes are never developed (wounded coast has great music, but the standard dramatic battle music is ultra generic and dull)
The game seems like it's on the verges of greatness but never quite meets it - the main plot element is underdeveloped and slightly random as a consequence of the fairly segmented story structure
Some stats still completely worthless
Still using HORRIBLE DA TOOLSET WITH FLOOD FILL PATHING SO NO VERTICALITY KILL IT WITH FIREEEEEEEE

I enjoyed it, and I will be replaying it, but I feel there were quite a few missed opportunities

If I were a reviewer I'd give it a slightly higher score than origins mainly because the meat of the game is o much more enjoyable.
