I feel like I have heard every damn reason to hate this game on these forums. I came on here wanting to talk about what is awesome about it since I just picked up the game this past tuesday and hate to have to put the controler down to work on real life projects etc... lol

What I love about this game

1. The fighting style!! Man it rocks! I played the demo and it just blew my mind how much more fun fighting was. The fast paced fighting and no matter if you are a mage, warrior or rouge, all the characters moved smoothly and really engaged me in the fighting. As a mage, watching my character flip around with a staff and shoot magic at enemies is just fun and wild! I feel powerful and badass lol. As a warrior, carrying a massive giant sword and hacking through enemies with ease and pace is just how I like it. No slow lagging, nothing to make me fall asleep. I got to use the right attacks and dodge the moves quickly causing me to have to actually think fast and use my brain. So the fighting style truly sold me when I played the demo and baught the game. I beat DA:O and it took me forever. Spent most of my time in the menu system which had me yawning a couple times.

2. The menu system - I beat DA:O and it took me forever. I spent most of my time in the menu system which had me yawning a couple times. Then after putting the game down for a week and going back to it, I was just so confused and lost with shifting through the menu that i had to teach myself all over again what i had to do next. Mind you i was playing on the xbox 360 so not sure how easy it was on PC. But this was a ****. So I am very happy with the new quick menu. Very easy to hop into and out of with ease and quickly.

3. The graphics!! These graphics are so much easier to look at with the eye. It's eye candy looking at the faces of characters and beautiful armor/weapons. I simply can't get enough. Really gorgous on the HD TV.

4. The Sexy Female POWER! I am sorry but the women are way more badass in this game over the last and prettier! So far I have a band of sexy women in my party and we all kick ass. I love it!!

5. The story! This story I find to be much more entertaining than the last one. The way it opens makes you want to know more. I still feel like the chosen one to save the world and it makes the story really special. So far it's got my attention and I can't wait to meet more sexy characters to play with.

6. The Dialog - The new dialog they have going for this is just great. It is just like mass effect which I found to be much quicker paced and easy to understand when dealing with long conversations. In DA:O I found myself nodding to sleep and having to reread through something that was just said then taking forever deciding what was the right thing to say. That was getting annoying and took extra time that made me get bored quickly. But the mass effect way really has you already know if you are saying something bad, good etc... the sentences are much quicker and easier to read. I hated having to read long ass sentences clusted together. My dislexia highly dissaproved. I got used to it throughout half of the game but still when returning it just hurt. lol

So... if you enjoyed the game, please let me know what you guys liked about it. If you got nothing nice to say then find someplace else to say it. I really rather not hear anymore negativity about how you hated it or how it's not DAO cause i think I have heard enough.

More people than you see here, cause the people that like it are still playing it while the vocal minority came here to complain.
I like it myself.

I'm entertained, which is all I could really ever ask for in a video game. Of course, that may be what's killing the entertainment industry in general. I am easily amused, and thus I am a cancer upon all that is... entertaining.

I enjoyed it more than DAO, but I'm pretty disappointed by a few decisions that didn't have to be made - recycled environments being a particularly obvious example.

I'm enjoying it just fine, it is an excellent game. However, I will admit, that on the whole I prefered Origins thusfar

CrashB111 LOL I figured much. I would be playing it myself but my fiancee wanted to play it so we are sharing it at the moment. lol It's pretty good so far. I really like some of the changes. There are a few things I wish they left but ah well it's got my attention with other things. I heard they copy and pasted the dungeons? Do you guys know if this is true or are people exaggerating it a bit? Honest opinion for those who have played through the game.

I love it, I just got finished playing it for today (it's now 6:10 AM here). I can see how people that wanted another Lord of the Rings rip-off, typical "traditional fantasy" story are going to be disappointed. In fact, as I played and enjoyed it, I was imagining all the neckbeards' reactions to the various things. If you don't appreciate more subtle, well-realised interpersonal drama and are more in it for the sweeping adventure (and it has to be said, hackneyed and done-to-death fantasy genre stuff) then I can imagine coming from Origins to DA2 is quite a blow. If you basically like Tolkien Lite, with RTS-like gameplay, DA2 will leave you cold - as seems to be happening in many cases.

Anyway, this is going to get locked because it should have been in the review sticky (failing that, people will start pointing the finger at a "positive thread not getting locked.)

I am, very much. From the moment they said that the game would be more oriented to console players, i thought it was gonna be too different from DAO so i had different expectations, but alas, the game kept more elements from DAO than i thought so i was actually surprised.

I was disappointed by not being able to change my companions armor, but when i saw that they changed looks on their own as the years passed (i'm not sure if all of them do, still on Act 2) i liked it.

I like the new combat, i would have preferred it to be just a little bit slower but the way it is it's ok for me, and besides it's nice to completely butcher enemies with my 2 hander.

And yes, sexy female power for the win, i made a Female Hawk right away, she just looks so badass.

I enjoy certain aspects of it, and I can't play for too long without getting frustrated with the repetitive nature.

Not the same way I enjoyed DA:O though. When I first bought DA:O, I played all night and was even hesitant to sleep when I was exhausted.

I'm watching the youtube walkthrough instead of buying after I read a forum person was banned and couldn't play his games that were attached to Bioware. You payz your money and lose your games.

i like this phrase "vocal minority"

Wouldn't you say the "tea party" is a vocal minority? I would and none of their canidates won any office in congress, but the Republicans swept the house sir and a good amount of seats in the senate were won. There is a lot of dissappointment from a lot of people just because some people are not as angry as some does not mean this game is being enjoyed as much as DAO.

Yeah, I was sad I couldn't change the armor of my friends. But i guess it will save some time here and there. I just got to worry about my own character and make sure she is wearing the best stuff. *high fives* to female power. The standard Hawk female is just so hot. lol I was sad that they don't let you change her features tho. I wanted her face but different hair color but they don't let ya change it. So I did what I could to make my face almost look like hers. I got kinda close lol.

So you choose to ignore everything which doesn't match your already made up opinions? Why do you still need reviews then?

And you obviously ignored the many other players who have confirmed being banned, and still being able to play their game.

aww that is kinda dissapointing to hear. But hopefully I can ignore it lol. I do like to adventure into new lands and different places. Hopefully I wont notice cause I will be kicking butt. lol But we will see. As long as the story keeps me engaged then it shouldn't be a problem.

I have more than my share of complaints but I'm enjoying it. The mechanics are serviceable, my rogue's sassy, and the story is more like a 200=page D&D story than a 500-page Wheel of Time epic but I enjoy both equally, so no problems there.

The one improvement I see over DA:O is how the colors actually look normal now. Everyone looked like greased pigs on high settings in DA:O, ick.

I got in yeaterday ( Damn late release date in Australia) and I think it's brilliant. The framed narrative works to perfection here.
