Hell some times I have to take control of a companion, to make them do what I want them to do. Origins was easy mode for companions compared to Dragon Age 2.
So who is actually ENJOYING this game?

From what I can see, the only people ENJOYING this game are people with very low expectations of what a "good" game is.
Some other games besides Dragon Age 2 that I've enjoyed in the last 6ish months or so.
Demon's Souls
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Infamous
Dragon Age Origins
Mass Effect 2
LittleBigPlanet2
etc etc...
So from what you can see I wouldn't understand what a good game is. So the list of games I've liked are also games that suck?
I don't know how you can even compare games like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, or even DA 1 to DA2.
It's like night and day. Yes, DA2 has nice graphics, and decent voice acting... but that is pretty much it. the gameplay itself is very disapointing, I find myself wanting to skip all the battles and just get back to the story. That wouldn't be a problem if the gameplay mechanics were less boring. You can only choose between rediculously easy or insanely frustrating.
I'm hoping a mod or patch fixes this eventually.

One of the better games I have played in the past few years, over Origins included.
I tried maxing out the levels, level 50, and because your equipment is lagging behind if you do at the first possible moment, it makes the game a bit more challenging. Then I started another game and found Level 15 to be a "sweet spot" level for act 1 and reached level 19 largely doing just the story quests and a few companion quests. And these two games aren't even my "real game", I am in the middle of replaying Origins and then Awakening for the first time for that.
Combat in Origins put me to sleep having to wait for an enemy to go down from auto attacking with few abilities used in between when the situation called for it and they came up. Now, combat is a lot more enganging on the consoles and less boring. To tell the truth: I am almost tempted to play a serious mage game.

..ok..it's been an evening since my last post where I said I was really enjoying it AND...
I'm still really enjoying it. Game. Is. Awesome.
I've somehow managed to sidestep all of the bugs / graphics issues that people have seemed to be having...and the game seems to be brilliantly polished...now if you'll excuse me...I have to get some game time in before work...

I'm absolutely loving it. Only reason I'm posting on the forums instead of playing right now is that I'm stuck at work for another half-hour or so. Then back to exploring Kirkwall I go!

I am. Spouse and I are both on vacation, and pursuing a rivalmance with each other as we compete for time on the PC.

I enjoy it a lot, warrior is now quite powerful and fun to play, not as dull as in Origin.

I'm really enjoying it. I love stories and Bioware never disappoints. It's good that people criticize the game openly - it means that Bioware will know what to change in their next installment. But it saddens me that instead of fair, constructive criticism, forums are filled with whining and hand-wringing, mixed with name-calling and feet-stomping.
Yes, DA:2 has it's flaws (for me it's recycled maps, since they simply feel awkward), but it also has so many things that bring enjoyment (graphics, battle dynamic, party banter, character development). I believe that if a game can make players care about their characters and companions, then it's a sign of a good storytelling.
Happy gaming, everyone.

What someone considers a good and bad game is all opinion. Just because you don't agree with the opinions of others does not give you the right to insult them.thisismyname wrote...

Despite a few criticisms I have (reused dungeons and lack of being able to talk anywhere like Origins) I have found this game to be damn good. Yeah, not as good as Origins but then few games can be considered one of the greatest ever. Still a fantastic game.

It's awesome, but some flaws (kind of a lot actually
) are keeping the game away from being really really great.
Still enjoying it, and playing several hours a day.

I'm enjoying it, have played for 16 hours so far.
I just realised I love Isabela. She makes Zevran look like a prude.

First thing I learned in life ... opinions are like a certain part of anatomy, everyone has them.
I love the game. I am in the second part (4 years into it) and 25 hours playing and still going strong.

Love it, even though it was rushed by EA, Bioware has done an amazing job with it.
