Me! I'm still in my first year, though.
Had it since launch, but work and all that. Too tired to play much less type correctly. (and tendinitis on right hand doesn't help me play for long)

I love this game, Mass Effect 2 is my favorite BioWare game and DA2 reminds me of it quite a lot. I enjoyed Origins for what it was and though I would have liked a similar sequel, I'm finding it hard NOT to play DA2.
As for the haters, you know what's LOL worthy? ME2 was the crappiest non-RPG to hit the market when it came out too. Ohhh whoe is us please bring back the old everything from Mass Effect 1, what did you DO to our game?
It is the same exact circus every single time a new release comes out on these boards, I kid not. Now? Look at all the comments DA2 sucks but ME2 is a jewel. Whhhhat? lolololol, I laugh a long time.
Let the forums cool for a few months and then you will know what people really think of DA2.

I just finished it, a few hours ago and that was the best game experience I've had in a very long time.

I'm still really enjoying it. Game. Is. Awesome.
I've somehow managed to sidestep all of the bugs / graphics issues that people have seemed to be having...and the game seems to be brilliantly polished...now if you'll excuse me...I have to get some game time in before work...

I like it! I think I might just have to avoid the forums until I've finished, though. The ranting negativity is getting me down.
This thread was a welcome break.

So far I've only experienced a small bug which forces me to restart the game (exit game and launch again) *no spoilers here* where after a battle a certain party member will be highlighted and no other actions are possible besides right clicking to talk. Item highlighting and selection is also problematic at times. Also some strange cutscene moments where character animations jump suddenly but nothing major.
Still enjoying the game but the combat is beginning to annoy me in some parts. I've played for almost 3 days putting in 6-8 hours a day and I haven't finished it, though I'm sure I'm near the end. My thoughts are mixed but so far I think I can agree almost entirely with the GI PC review.

Of course I'm enjoying it, I'm a fan of the series. But as much as I'm enjoying myself it's hard sometimes not to notice some of the.. flaws. Although there's fun to be had it does feel like there could've been a bigger leap forward. y'know? It seems gaming critics are seeing parts that could've used more work, appeal to the hardcore audience more, etc etc.

Still in act 1, nightmare. Handled the Bone Pit last night, I gotta say, I think that fight woulda been a lot easier if I just had Varric. Everything was fine til I got to the top, where my lack of ranged attacks turned into a major liability. I wanted to flirt with Isabella a bit and never has a companion choice bit me in the arse so hard. The game seems to be getting easier more or less (or I'm just at a sweet spot level wise), especially once I realized I could still equip companion weapons. With all the rage on here I just assumed I could only equip rings and such. Its only the armor thats missing, and that's really not that bad.
I like how you can opt to become a "business partner" of the mine with a 50/50 cut. That was such an awesome touch, things like that didn't happen in Origins. Its small and petty, but it feels like the type of stories are more in line with just living your daily life in Thedas. The reuse of maps is getting to be a bit staggering, but we all know it was rushed right? I mean we can't even debate that. Its unfortunate, but considering everything, I'd rather have some maps cut (since they did this in DAO too, IIRC) than the other areas of the game suffer.
Although admittedly, I'd rather have just waited another 6 months for a more polished product. But still, it runs better than New Vegas did at launch
I feared for my console everytime it locked up on that game. Its no Perfect 10, but neither was Origins, TBH. But they are both more than the sum of their parts to be sure.
Also, is it just me? Or is some of the different fight music really really good? I remember one of the first fights I had, I think it mighta been the Kirkwall gate fight, soon as the music kicked in my heart just got pumping. Well, that and the fact that each fight has been more or less an uphill struggle =P

Ok, I'm still in act one. But so far this game is Amazing. It's got that 'first time BG2 playthrough pacing' feel to it... where you get overwhelmed with quests and storyline as soon as you hit the big city. I LOVE that in an RPG
Also, even the combat is growing on me. It's far more tactical than people here are giving it credit for.

Finished it last night, think I liked it slightly more than Origins though I'll make up my final mind when I've given it more time to sit. Wasn't flawless, but was wonderful! I absolutely loved it, one of my top five games ever! I'm super excited about where the world of Thedas is going.

The more I play, the more I like it. It's so different from Origins that it takes some getting used to, but I'm really starting to appreciate it on its own terms. Yeah, I miss the nerdy micromanagement of the old inventory system, but there are also plenty of improvements over the first game, which I absolutely adored.
I just started Act II, and it feels like the story is finally starting to come together- early on, it felt so scattered and I couldn't get a good grasp on a cohesive plot or even my own character. Threads are tying into one another, tensions are rising, I'm digging it more and more, and my Hawke is finally becoming a real entity.

Oh, and I actually like the conversation wheel quite a bit. The icons are really helpful when it comes to intent- so many times in Origins, I'd choose a reply I meant to be sarcastic or nice only to find it had the opposite effect and someone would get mad at me.

I really enjoyed the game. I finished the story as a Warrior , now playing as a mage with Dlcs and trying to do achievments and all quests. I like the main character thought of Bioware, but the really story didnt even begin. Senario is fine really, but short and the events after this game far more exciting. Still, I am waiting for more DLCs that last long.

I have yet to receive my copy (stupid Amazon, says its in transit in MY CITY) But I'm excited, I've played the Demo at least 12 times, love the combat, I love Old school RPG's but i really love Action RPGs as well, so either way i'm going to enjoy myself.
