I am.The game doesn't deserve so much hate.

I can understand some frustation though, but overall that's a great game.
If people would understand that it's different than Origins they would have more fun.

I hear what you guys are saying. And agree. I have always loved old school RPG's but sometimes simplifying is not all that bad. And who knows, maybe the next DA will be even better where they will listen to fans and give them more but with ease. It's just taking the time to get a feel for making it perfect.

I am.
It's short however and that part makes me depressed compared to Dragon Age Origins, it's the only disappointing part of the game...
I hate it.
I love the game though.
Get out, you troll.

Im enjoying it. I have issues with the fact that you cannot gear up your party with loot (ok, armor) you scrounge, but other than that I think its a great game. I am a bit confused on the story however. Like, why the hell am I doing what I am doing? DA:O made it clear right from the beginning. DA2 seems to be a bit more cryptic as to why I am doing what I am. Or maybe Im retarded:)

Hawke is living his life, and trying to stem the tide of the s***storm. It doesn't always need to be saving the world.

Loving the game only about 9hrs. Theres is a few things I dont like but all in all I think its a solid game.

The stuff I dont like e.g.

mini map ( I know the maps where like this in Origins but having the mini map like it is really brings it to your attention and also makes it easy to explore.

Not being able to talk to companions at any time but not a biggy

and not having a stats page like origins (how much you have completed and how much you have explored but yet again not a biggy)

Oh and that i got raped by a elf but hey I guess you get that.

My thoughts exactly!
This sequel is superb, much better than the origins, I completely agree with the first post about the combat system and the rest of the improvements.
I hadn't noticed that there are some people that find this sequel disgusting, because I was too busy enjoying it for the past 2 days ( and still am )

You people should feel ashamed that you are denigrating BioWare about Dragon Age 2. I find it nearly perfect, they have improved it in nearly every possible aspect. Yes, you need to make some things simpler for them to be more enjoyable and to emphasize other actions, but that doesn't mean that they have taken a step backward like some sentimental and lifeless freaks have reviewed this game.
I believe it is in human nature to be conservative and it takes time to accept changes, especially such dramatic changes that this game has undergone, but these changes have made this game twice as exciting and enjoyable than it's predecessor.
If I could, I would rate DA:Origins as 7.0/10 and Dragon Age 2 as 9.5/10

BioWare has taken a step forward and I thank you for creating this game, I find it to be awesome, it has surpassed my every expectation.

Look, I don't want to have to go into this because listing complaints isn't what this thread is about, but in all honesty you're making the same mistake you're accusing people who have legitimate complaints are making. DA2 is a different beast than DA:O, things were removed, others were replaced, and the fact is people aren't wrong for complaining about losing what they liked. You aren't wrong for not liking aspects of DA:O either, but don't try to jump on a high horse and cry shame on people for having different tastes than you.

Not every new innovation is better, not every old idea is perfect. Leave it at that.

I liked it.

I think the biggest problem is that it was called Dragon Age 2 and not marketed as something else.

I am calling you out on your bull. Sorry but you don't know what I want. You are just trying to start a fight. I know what you are doing. You can't fool me but again nice try

But you have already shown that you are very selective about what you listen to. Welcome to your own little world.

This noble thread draws out the trolls that get irritated or entertained when they post snide spiteful comments. I'm just Gona hang up my iPhone for the night.

How long did it take you to beat the game? I did enjoy the many hours of gameplay in DA but it took me months to beat lol

Ixalmaris....why don't you let it go?  She's right, you know, it does just seem like you are trying to start a fight.  And, either way, what do you care what another person wants or thinks.  You seem capable of deciding what you like and want, why not just let everyone else do the same?

Thank you! Exactly! Honest opinions from people who just seriously have something nice to say and are not bashing it for their own damn pleasure. I also like knowing if others enjoy it the same way I do. And talk about those things that we love about it. Whats so wrong with that?

Around 20 hours or so.
Maybe fifteen.
On my second playthrough right now and I'm at seven hours. Decent time, I suppose.

Eh, length is relative. Mass Effect is a good example of this. Forty hours was the average on my first playthrough, even though the game can be completed in MUCH shorter time the first time through. I just like dicking around too much.

If he wants a fair review, he would not ignore about 50% (if you trust the poll here) reviews which do not mach his expectations/own feelings.

If you want to inform yourself about something you listen to both sides. Just wanting to hear one side means that you are not seeking informaction but want your own opinion reinforced by others.

omg that's it?? WOW! Do you do every quest and search for all the items? I would be sad if i beat this game in 20 hours lol. I am kinda slow when playing games but it does have a much faster pace to it. So it will probably end quick even for me. I ranked up 100 hours in the last game lol That is a lot of time out of my life lol. But it was worth it.

I'm enjoying it since I'm loving the sidequests. DA2 is what Jade Empire could have been.

Oh, and while I do thing it's a bit odd how they changed the qunari's appearance, I do like that it brings out this much more bestial nature in them. I ignored Sten on my first playthrough, on my second one I used him all the time and grew to like him. However, he seemed more like an old autistic man that was confused and slightly worried by everything - these damn kids and their pesky emotions! - than some terrifying warrior from a race of people who once caused the two halves of the Chantry to unite just to try to defend themselves.

Like how the krogan were made really terrifying and overwhelming in ME2, it seems like maybe the qunari could fulfill that role in DA, though from what I've seen so far they're not as good as their reputation suggests. The only time I've lost a single party member (on Hard) was against a large group of Dalish warriors and an assassin, the qunari so far have been pretty straight forward.

Edit As for play time, I think I must have been playing for about 8 hours today, maybe more. I've still only got 3 party members (plus Hawke). I haven't even met Isabella or any of the other party members outside of the prince who seems to have buggered off now that I helped him.

I already listened to the spewing crapola for the past day. If you read my post you would see that it says I have heard it all. I don't need to hear anymore rubbish. For 70% was just a bunch of ****ing, immaturity and excuses from people who didn't even play the game yet.

Yeah I noticed they changed that. It kind of confused me. I like the new look too but i was like .."wait?? that's the qunari?" lol
