It's ok, not exactly what expected. And maybe don't like some parts of it. But the game is solid and is worth the price. Just have to tweak the sound on my TV (dialogues are hard to hear). So far just started to play, so I might change my mind, but it's a good game, not epic, but the one you can enjoy none the less.

The reason there are so many complaints might be because the more hardcore Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age Origins (basically old school Rpg fans) spend a lot of time on the internet and forums like this because they are the big Bioware fans but the problem is they can't get over the fact that Bioware is changing some things and they feel the need to give the game their hate just because it's not like their previous games and how there are things they don't like so they are being really vocal about their opinions...I for one am actually enjoying this game so far.

I'm liking the game so far. I got a little teary eyed at certain scenes and laughed at others.

No, no, no! I have no taste when it comes to games. And apparently i like Micheal Bay explosions too, however that is. Atleast that was the conclusion that was reached in the endless Fallout 3 vs New Vegas threads in BSF :P

I am enjoying it so far, but it has a lot of very obvious flaws

Absolutely love it. Pretty much improved every aspect of Origins (of course it has some flaws), though i cannot say anything about the story yet. I assume it will be better (or at least i will like it more) simply because, if stripped to its core points, plot of DAO is pretty... too similar to that of Mass Effect 1 and KOTOR1.
Not really missing Origin stories as those didn't have enough impact to the story in DAO.
Ironically i didn't particularly care about the race choice in Origins due them being way too similar but DA2's redesing of elves and qunari (and to some extent maybe dwarves too) has made them more distinct and i'd actually like to play as one them. But Hawke's great and i don't think he or she would work as any other race than human.

I like it! Despite being a huge fan of the Baldur's Gate series and DAO. Apparently it is illegal to like all of these things at the same time ;).

All the stuff I've always liked about BioWare games - the storytelling, the engaging characters, the great dialogue - is present and correct.

I'm _trying_ to like the game but after the umpteenth time a battle was needlessly stretched out by MOAR ENEMIES or by bosses with thousands of HP and massive armor I just can't bring myself to play for more than an hour or so.

I enjoy the combat in DA2, but the story is boring. In origins, there feels like a sense a progression to the story. For example, you start at your origin place then you go to ostagar then you fled to lothering then you start to recruit allies. I guess the sense of progression is from visiting all those different places as time goes on.

In DA2, I feel like I am making no progress what so ever. I seem to be stuck within Kirkwell forever while trying to raise the 50 gold... The repeated levels doesn't help either...

But hey, if you only enjoy fighting, DA2 is for you. Combat is very well done. Not that it is better than DA1 combat but it is different.

I'm enjoying the game for what it is, an action-adventure title. The backlash on here lowered my expectations a fair bit.

It's not as good as Origins, but done well enough I can keep playing it, despite how repetitive it seems at times.

I enjoy the game, and the story. In fact, i like much more this story that the classic one (DAO). This game is the real origin.

I'm enjoying this game. Unfortunately players who want or need to express an opinion (and thats their right) will jump onto the forums to either praise or criticise - venting their frustrations, disappointment or enjoyment of the game itself.

Since DA:O was such a great game - people hopes and expectations to a similar sequel can often let them down.

Take DA2 as it and don't compare to its predecessor, and it is a fine piece of work.

Im loving the game and for the people who are blowing through quests if you actually stop and listen too some of the random conversations some of the npcs are having on the streets will sometimes open up quests you wouldnt know were there.

I do stuff, i do stuff, nothing happens. Then bang, the final battle.
Now i admit DA2 doesn't seem to be progressing... but then i'm apparently doing every single side quest and exploring every dark corner... dear god there's a lot of those. 50 gold was surprisingly quick to gather, way faster than you gained money in Origins.

i'm enjoying DA2 far more than I enjoyed replaying through DAO recently lol.
I love the cinematic experience that was mass effect 1 + 2 and so seeing it in DA2 is awesome!!
Well done Bioware!!

I have to say, I prefer the combat in DA:O, but aside from that, I love DA 2. It's no Planescape Torment, but it's still a great game.

Teclo lol Very true it probably will get locked. Which is sad. I rather skip past the negative reviews and just hear some positive feedback. But you are right. Love your comment. I agree highly.

Hellosanta I hear ya lol It's quiet interesting really. I found myself posting back but i got bored with that lol.

So you choose to ignore everything which doesn't match your already made up opinions? Why do you still need reviews then?

Why do you continue to want to know negative feedback? That's like all of them wanting to keep talking about how much they hate the game. I honestly see it going no where. I rather hear other people's opinions on why they liked the game not why they hate it. And honestly your comment makes no sense. Why be here in the first place? Why be on a forum talking about a game?? Seriously. Nice try.

Why are you so desparate to hear positive feedback? You don't really want to hear other peoples opinion, you want to hear them thinking the same as you.
And then you start personal attacks. classy....

Why do you care so much? If the other person does not want to read negative reviews they do not have to.

I'm finding it interesting so far, though I'm still early in the game. The only thing that's putting me off resuming for now is the tiny text that is pretty much unreadable, in a game with a lot of text that isn't good.

Still I'm hoping I can resume without a severe headache like last time.

This game is awesome. Really enjoying it, just as much as Origins. Like the changes made, and also that it feels like its built upon Orgins foundation.
