So you choose to ignore everything which doesn't match your already made up opinions? Why do you still need reviews then?

Actually, even if the game is not "for you," it's interesting to read exactly what folks who do enjoy it like about it. No need for balance to extend to the thread level. It's not as though real discussion is remotely likely at this point, so separate threads covering positives and negatives are probably the best the community can do.

I love Dragon Age 2. I think the story is great and I also love the characters. The only thing I dislike about it is the lack of conversations. I loved being able to have a full conversation with any of my party members wherever I was at in Dragon Age: Origins.

I am thoroughly enjoying this game. Yesterday I spent about 12 hours playing the game non-stop. I can, however, understand the criticism and why some people are disappointed. I am not, though. To me, this was a breath of fresh air, and I am greatly enjoying myself.

I think its more that he wants to hear from the people who enjoy the game, or at least a fair and well thought out review that isnt "OMG IT SUX ITS THE END OF THE RPG AS WE NO IT."

If he wants a fair review, he would not ignore about 50% (if you trust the poll here) reviews which do not mach his expectations/own feelings.

If you want to inform yourself about something you listen to both sides. Just wanting to hear one side means that you are not seeking informaction but want your own opinion reinforced by others.

The only review I consider to be is fair my own.

I thought this thread was about enjoyment, not the lack of it.

I do enjoy DA2. Spent about 12 hrs so far and think it's a good, sometimes very good game. But sadly it's not a great game. The ever-spawning enemies that make a farce of tactical combat, the constant recycling of locations, the "streamlined" inventory/equipment system, the lack of a compelling storyline the 1st couple of hours, the weak DX11 performance with Nvidia cards, the limitation of only one 'true' location etc...

I'm still enjoying DA2, but I'm quite a bit disappointed when I think what a game Bioware could have developed instead of...this.

Only 5-6 hours into the game, but so far I'm really enjoying it. Better story than in Origins so far, although I would have really liked to...

*spoilers*

play the year when Hawke is with the mercenaries or the smugglers.

It is ok, as long as you do not have DAO expectations. It plays like an expansion.

Yep. You betcha.

Vastly, vastly more improved in almost every single way....there have been some things I have frowned at..but nothing a passing 'meh' hasn't fixed. In particular...a certain recurring character having changed quite dramatically...but..like I said..meh.

I was so pumped for this game over the last month or two...and it has lived up to all my expectations, then leaped over them and continued sprinting into the horizon...just don't want to stop playing it! It's definitely going to consume me for quite some time yet.

Having just finish my first play through, I am very impressed with the game on all levels, and I for one am every happy with the direct of DA: II. It was nice to stay and one place and become invested in its fate, and get to see the effects of your choices during game-play and not read about it at the end of the game.

But that is just my thoughts on the matter

I am enjoying it, its a good story line, but I was disapointed in that you dont have as much interaction with your party as you did in DAO, it plays more line an expansion then anything else. But its still a good game and am enjoying it.

I'm enjoying it, played for 6,5 hours and somewhere in the middle of first act, I suppose. Noticed some flaws (mostly the ones being mentioned around) and glitches but it feels good to travel around Kirkwall. This city has some stunning scenery.

I'm not much involved in the main plot much but so far so good...

I enjoy the game - and hope all my dear friend will enjoy this soon. there are some things to criticize, yes - interaction ... like others said ... but its a good game, I like the story and the characters.
I dont regret to buy it and enjoy gaming.

So far the thing I am enjoying the most is the cinema aspect. And how the various camera shots, fading, wide angle, emotion and story remind me of being in a good movie. That's one thing DA:O was missing in way that Dragon Age 2 has.

I´m 06 hours in. Still at the first act and liking it very much. I have still to find the majority of side quest mentioned elsewhere around here, mostly doing Companion quests. So far it is very good. I also miss knowing more about your companions and hoping that this improves over time.
Also, i hate my uncle. He is a gambling drunk looser and i really want him to pay for what he did.

I don't like it as much as I liked the first one, but for me is a great game, perhaps a step or two behind the first.

Enjoy the game reached act 2, only needed to restart an older save while missed to charakters and I am already curious about a replay with a different class and some different choices.

In general I do not understand the kind of extreme uproar, it partly feels artifactal or from people that like to scream in general.

This is probably going to be blasphemy, but I think I liked it better than Origins. The story had a slow start, but it had a heck of an ending, and I thought that all the party members were great. Really, really enjoyed it.
