I have had this image stored for almost two years of a fanmade female Turian.

Now, I would hit that, not the "bald" looking one. The second one actually looks cute, the first one is disgusting and if I hadn't looked in the wiki, I would have thought it was a male.

Well that's my take on this, what does everyone think?

Of course that's all that matters. We can't have female aliens that male humans wouldn't want to 'hit'. Because the only purpose and sense of existence of the female sex is to be appealing to men and to 'look cute' for them.

I wouldn't call this comic's bad excuse for art 'official'.

I don't want female Turians to be feminine, no visible bewbs or hips or whatever. They are not teh human.

This is a female golden eagle.
This is a male golden eagle.

I'm so sorry that you wouldn't want to 'hit' the female one.

I honestly don't care if FemTurians are ugly.  In fact, I think they NEED to be ugly just to defy the trope.

However, DH still makes me sad.

- Team, we need a female alien.
- Let's put her in a pink suit!
- Wide hips so she can have babies like a bipedal primate, even though she is not even from earth!
- Also, boobs! Breast milk is essential for aliens that are not mammals.
- Absolutely.
- Big eyes and eyelashes. Hair around the eyes is a universal trait of all life forms. Especially chicks.
- Whoa guys aren't you biology savvy. Just remember, a woman is not a woman until a man wants to hit her. Keep that in mind, team.
- The voice of a female human is crucial. After all, female chimpanzees sound so feminine, and they are closely related to us. Therefore alien life forms should have feminine voices too.
- That makes sense!
- High five, creative team!

This was incredibly douchey of you and I will cry if BW so much as THINKS about boobs and eyelashes.

Sexy voices and wide hips are a given for turians, though. ;)

This is pretty much exactly what I was expecting female turians to look like. Refined, lady-like. FLEXIBLE. Turian-esque. Not masculine.  The one in evolution is gross i don't care who you are. And it certainly doesn't look 'Turian' to me.  I understand the folly in applying human conceptions of beauty to alien races but the one in Evolution looks ridiculous, chimplike, even. Poor Garrus.

Oh I'd never dare to mock anything made by the bioware team. They are soooo above my level of competence and I have spent too many jolly hours thanks to them! I wrote that only about what I have been seeing in this thread.

Not what I expected Turian females to look like exactly, mostly because I already had the mental image of them from this->

Fan Made Turian Concepts

Nude concepts, but the female doesn't have breasts and the male's setup is internal. So there really isn't a reason to be icky/moral over the image.

^Basically that.

The Turian female might look horrifying to some of us. But that's the point. Its the female of a completely different species. For all we know, to Turian males, she's an absolute stunner.

But she looks like Skeletoooooooor.

I didn't expect her to be completely lacking her head fringes. I don't think they should have breasts or hips, but I do think they should be a bit more sleek, compared to male turians. Like that fan concept art. And for the love of all that is holy just put back the head fringes. Make them smaller, sure, I get that. But not just... gone.

Honestly the female golden eagle is more "attractive" then the current female Turian design.

Also I must now ask Garrus... "What is this flexibility you speak of?"

And as for the Turians should be totally different! You do realize of all the species in Mass Effect they are probably the most similar us? I mean for crying out loud we see a male Turian using a urinal. Yes clearly they are truly "Alien".

Look I ain't advocating for female Turians to have "funny bumps", big eyelashes, make-up etc. But it would be nice if I could tell the difference between a male/female Turian. Right now the Female Turian is exactly the same as a male Turian, just with a vastly shorter head fringe/plating. I just think making Female Turians look like She-Hulk/Skeletor isn't the way to go.

Turian's have a very Empire/Tribal like society. I would expect this to be emulated in their design then to an extent. That would also be why I think (besides laziness) why we don't see many female Turians out and about. Also if Female Turians aren't "feminite" at all what do Male Turians find attractive about Asari?

How about this. Let's have female Turians be voiced by males. Obviously having female Turians voiced by female actors would be too much blatant sex appeal. Afterall isn't it preposterous that aliens sound anything like us? Why should alien women sound like human women?

=]

Seriously only difference will be instead of "Dat waist!" it'll be "Dat voice!"

For anybody who doesn't like Evolution's idea of a female turian. I think we aught to remember that Bioware isn't totally against changing characters appearances from other forms of media to the actual games.

I'm looking at you Jacob from ME: Galaxy.

When you go in the bar on Illium and listen to what they say around the stripper, I think a turian said he likes the tentacles. That's remind him of turian fringe or something like that.
