Aren't female turians supposed to have fringes? She barely has one.

my opinion, Take the male turian model:
1) Do all the common female attributes such as slender hands, wider pelvis, recessive brow, small chin, etc.
2) Boobs of coarse, and maybe have the hard plates around them.
3) the head fringes should be a bit shorter than males but as long or longer than asari. I don't even know if turians can shape the fringes like hair or tentacles.
4) bigger eyes, or the recessive brow makes it appear bigger.
5) those stubs coming out of there legs could either be smaller or sharper.
6) The cheek flaps should be shorter or less predominate than the males.
7) completely optional, but I heard some female birds and reptiles are bigger or taller than the males. It would be comical for us, but they are aliens after all.

Different species, different biology, different culture, different sexual characteristics, different, well, everything really. The only reason Bioware found excuses for all the species to be as similar as they are in the games is in order that we might be able to get in on the whole space opera drama thing without complete and total isolation. If they instead took the logical course and made the methods of thinking so alien to us, then there'd be a totally different aesthetic to the game.

However, you neanderthals fail to recognize that things that are attractive to us aren't the same that are attractive to a Turian. This method of thinking (lol I want all aliens to be hot) is the reason we've got stark naked ladies exposing themselves to a vacuum, or why suddenly girls don't need to wear armor, instead wearing skintight bikinis, into battle. I know these juveniles can't walk a couple of feet without humping the pants leg of some random pedestrian, what with all the excess hormones playing tricks on their minds, but at least try and use some goddamn logic, would y'all.

Different biology, different culture, different goddamn species. Get over yourselves you freaking pants-leg-humping perverted juveniles. While I do think the art in the comic is just horrid, you all need to recognize that standards of attractiveness differ with every species. Bioware already took a bunch of liberties with logical assessments in how humanoid nearly every species looks, and that was only so as to achieve the correct vibe they had been going for all along.

Just don't push it,

Insults and generalisations while hiding behind internet anonymity. How pointless and boring. Also calling us neanderthals as a hint that we are below your superiour intelect is a odd choice considering that ****** Sapiens Neanderthalensis may have had larger brains than the modern ****** Sapiens.

Anyway, of course female turians can look however BioWares artists and writers want them to look as they are fictional and alien. All we are saying is that it would be interesting to see if a female turian can be good looking in a turian way, we don't expect them to look good in a human way. That is kind of impossible anyway considering that they are turians and not humans.

What, no fringe?

Doesn't Garrus reference female turians as having fringes at one point if you romance him?

My opinion: I always thought Dark Horse's turians looked weird, so my opinion of the female is... it looks just as bad as the male one. As for what a female turian would look like in-game? Probably just as better as the males look in-game.

Seriously, though, this penchant in science fiction for giving aliens human characteristics is completely ridiculous. I find the asari too much of a blow to my suspension of disbelief already, I don't need hawt aliens birds. You may as well go the whole hog and make sexy cat aliens.

Aliens are alien. They look different. Another word for different is alien.

Here's a thought experiment for you guys: humans are, in relative terms, closely related to jellyfish. I don't mean in terms of genetics or common ancestry, I mean in terms of biochemistry. What makes anyone think that life that has evolved on an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PLANET will be anything like humans, given the massive variety of terrestrial carboniforms already.

I can buy the turians, salarians, krogan, volus, maybe even quarians and batarians (I imagine in my head something closer to the original concept art), since there are convincing arguments for bipedal life. Asari are a problem, but they are one species in possible dozens in the galaxy so I can handwave them without too much trouble. But we don't need more anthropocentrism than we already have in the Mass Effect universe. Variety is the spice of life, and all that. Also, art should be aesthetically interesting.

For more info, see this page.

Well said. Although I still love Asari.

Not what I expected Turian females to look like exactly, mostly because I already had the mental image of them from this->

Fan Made Turian Concepts

Nude concepts, but the female doesn't have breasts and the male's setup is internal. So there really isn't a reason to be icky/moral over the image.

I'm not overly opposed to to "official" female turian, but dang those fan man concepts look exceptional, well defined an seemingly well thought through.

As for the "Female krogan" comment, I thought we saw a female krogan (that looked exactly like the male krogan- which is fine), on Tuchanka? Atleast we saw the female krogan clan representative
(you know, the one who says she doesn't need to talk to you)
, I kind of figred that the representative would also be female.

- Team, we need a female alien.
- Let's put her in a pink suit!
- Wide hips so she can have babies like a bipedal primate, even though she is not even from earth!
- Also, boobs! Breast milk is essential for aliens that are not mammals.
- Absolutely.
- Big eyes and eyelashes. Hair around the eyes is a universal trait of all life forms. Especially chicks.
- Whoa guys aren't you biology savvy. Just remember, a woman is not a woman until a man wants to hit her. Keep that in mind, team.
- The voice of a female human is crucial. After all, female chimpanzees sound so feminine, and they are closely related to us. Therefore alien life forms should have feminine voices too.
- That makes sense!
- High five, creative team!

This is awesomely pro-feminist so I would like to take my shot at the counter arguement. See, men need to know that this is out there.
You might argue that nearly the entire advancement of civilization is through man's pursuit of getting laid.

That's why kings have great monuments built, and giant palaces. So they can attract and fill said castle and monuments with the women they want to have sex with.

Likewise, why do you think people pursue space exploration? It is the next frontier in the great hunt! Guarenteed if god came down and said : 'Attention humans: there are no hot space chicks out in the universe' - NASA's would close shop the following day.

So yes, Bioware must create space aliens that men want to get with. Any guy playing Mass Effect, who isn't having shepard score with alien babes is either
a) gay- and thus should be trying to score with hot alien dudes
B) not with the program!

It's a great wide universe out there my friends, and it's only a matter of time before we get out there and have sex with it. Until such time however, we have: Mass Effect!

On a side note, all of the unseen oposite genders need to make an appearance in ME3. I don't recall seeing any Krogan or Solarian women either? Maybe I wasn't paying attention cause they weren't hot enough.

Good job on not reading the thread, most people here just want them to have a head fringe, they weren't asking for giant boobs or other stupid crap (well one guy was but you can ignore him),

There has been no "Official" art work shown of female Turians yet. Until Bioware themselves, show what they look like, I wouldn't go by the crappy art work done by Dark Horse.

Now, I would hit that, not the "bald" looking one. The second one actually looks cute, the first one is disgusting and if I hadn't looked in the wiki, I would have thought it was a male.

First one: Posted Image

Second one: Posted Image

Well that's my take on this, what does everyone think?

Of course that's all that matters. We can't have female aliens that male humans wouldn't want to 'hit'. Because the only purpose and sense of existence of the female sex is to be appealing to men and to 'look cute' for them.

Funny, since the entire Drell race was made for that reason alone, for female players.Posted Image
