I was just wondering if Bioware was aware of this issue with damaged save files (or if anyone else even has this problem). I'm unsure what the cause could be, but here's some details if it will help:

- I was in the docks during the first act when this occured...I went to reload a save and the damaged file message came up and sent me to the main menu. A number of my saves are now damged and won't load.
- I have a large amount of the DLC that was released. I have not started Exiled Prince. I did go into the Emporium a few hours before though.
- I was doing the quest "Finders Keepers".
- I ran into a glitch early in the game, the xp & gold glitch you're aware of. I didn't really use this glitch aside from tapping A like 3-4 times. Probably not relevent, but who knows.
- I did import a save from Witch Hunt.
- The game is installed to my 360. (2008 Zephyr model Xbox I believe.)

That's about all I can think of at the moment. It could be completely unrelated to any of this, but figured it couldn't hurt to list a few details. If anyone else has this problem, it may help to list what you were doing and where/when it occured. Would be greatly appreciated if someone from Bioware could check in on this and see if it's something they can help with :).

I think this is more of a hardware issue to be honest. I've had many friends through many games experience problems with damaged files. What model xbox do you own and does it have any 'enhancements'?

My 360 was made in 2008, I think it's a Zephyr model? No enhancements. I'm not so sure it's a hardware issue, it would be pretty coincidental for it to just start happening with DA2. I've never had damaged save problems on any of my games, and I played Fallout New Vegas haha.

You may be right though, I'll try playing some other games tomorrow and see if they have any problems.

I've only heard about it with paticular games. RE5, Fallout, Borderlands amd Sacred.

Like you said, it may not be the console, but I've personaly never had a file become corrupted on my elite.

I think with the mentioned games it was both a hardware and software combined problem (devs not testing on older consoles and what not). I'm glad you've been able to hold on to your xbox that long. I went through 4 before getting this one.

Yeah, you could be right. Hopefully someone from Bioware can address this and see whether it's a problem on the game's end, the console's or a mix of both. I tested a few other games and they don't seem to be having any problems as far as saving goes. I guess I could start over, but I'm afraid it'll just happen again..

Four 360's? That sucks man, sorry to hear it. I'm hoping nothing's wrong with mine, I don't really feel like paying to get it repaired >.<.

Oh, so the weird glitch I came across wasn't isolated for save file corruptions. This makes me weary of starting again for now,

Hm, I know we're not alone in this problem. People in other forums are getting corrupt saves as well. Just wanting to keep this in the second or first page so they can see it.

I believed mine were because of a strange loading screen bug, assuming it was to do with the auto save, but now I'm not so sure.

Loading screen bug? I've experienced several freezes while loading, if this is what you mean.

More feedback is needed for the OP's issue. Most importantly, those who experience the corrupt files need to list what model console they own and whether they installed it on their HDD or not.

Yeah I have had 1 loading screen issue so far while playing. It just sits on the loading screen picture animation and just says "Loading..." and never does anything, I had to Dashboard and re-run the game. Thank God I saved it right before it went to that loading screen.

So I read from another thread that they're going to look into corrupt issues.

Luke Barrett
"The corrupted thing could (and likely is) being caused by playing offline but we'll investigate this."

I just wanted to add to this, I was always online while playing the game. Feel free to lock this thread if you are looking into it. Thanks!

No, I was always online. Not unless I was kicked off and didn't notice.

Thanks for the bug reports. We're aware of the issue and are investigating possible causes. I've set up an official sticky regarding the issue - http://social.biowar...1/index/6524199

Please continue this discussion there. Thanks!
