I'm sure there are plenty of these topics floating around, so please move this to the right topic if necessary...
My computer's specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz
Ram: 4 GB
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9400M with 256MB VRAM (and this is what DirectX tells me: 1382 MB of memory).
I'm running Windows 7 on a 13" MacBook Pro. How will this game run on my computer?
Thanks!

9400M is a pretty weak card. You'll be able to run the game with your other specs pretty well, but you'll want to turn the graphics down and probably force the PhysX to run CPU-side too

Ok thanks. Much appreciated!

if i may ask, what about an integrated ati radeon hd 3200. i also have 4 gigs of ram and an amd x2 dual core ql-65. its mostly the gpu im worried about. i wish there was a demo so i could see how well it runs.

3200 is newer... does it have onboard RAM or shared? Try checking your DirectX diagnostics to see for me? If it's not shared and over 256 mb it will probably run on medium across the board and perhaps even a bit better

aprox. total mem = 1917 mb. it says nothing about it being shared.

ok... google CPU-Z and install and run it... that will tell us "Exactly" what all is there... it's got shared memory... but hard to tell how much

memory 256 mb

May be pushing it with 256mb. But in saying this, I have a stand alone HD2900 500mb card, and I have no issues at all. Infact, my cards more stable then most of the newer ones xD

twice the memory might make a difference. i want to be able to play it with some of the bells and whistles.

Hehe, my card is even older than Selvec's and it runs fine but I also have 512mb of RAM onboard. With 256mb of unshared RAM you'll probably be able to play at mid-range across the board. Depending on how well it manages the shared RAM also, it might even run at high for everything

the 9400M is intergrated, but should run it ok on low/med. It is by far the best IGP by a mile.
the ati 3200 is also intergrated. be prepared to run it slow on low if its playable at all.

That site is probably gonna give you the best idea how it run's. If it meets rec settings, you can probably play it on a mid/high mix.

I run it on medium with a 3200.

For what it's worth I'm running an EVGA 8800 GT Akimbo 512mb on high settings and game looks great. Getting a bit long in the tooth but have had it about a year now and handles most games today quite well on med/high settings. DA:0 runs great with this card on high.
If you can find them now is probably under $100

No. Very, VERY WRONG!
SR Labs is inaccurate so often that they are the laughing stock of all game people with any hardware knowledge. Never name them without adding that warning!
Any time you or someone you want to offer advice to is so anti-tech that they won't take the small amount of time needed to learn the few basics about how game computers work, and yet cannot be convinced to stick very strictly to console systems, choose YoGamers' Game-o-meter instead.
Next, AFAIK, the nVIDIA onboard chips stop with the 9300, and the 9400 is an actual card, but a slow one, much slower than the minimum nVIDIA 7600 GT. The 9300 IGP is still slower, and not as good as the ATI Xpress 3200 IGP.

just an update, i went ahead and got the game. it runs on med with now aa and maybe doesnt look so great, but it plays pretty good. no slow downs, i just have to remember to restart my comp if its been on for a bit doing other things. have played thru almost all the origin stories and taken one character to the town of lorother (sp) and have had no problems at all. it does seem like the dialog options are a little slow. not sure if its just the game or my lappy. thanks for all the replies and happy slaying...

This message had no bearing on the question at all. An actual HD 2900 is (was, once) a high end video CARD, totally unrelated to the onboard chip in question. The 3200 was related to the silicon in the HD 2400 GPU's core, and thus, very low end. Video RAM, whether dedicated or shared, is practically the least important criteria with regard to performance.
What counts is core speed, RAM speed, count of shader processors, and bandwidth of the memory system. The 2400 was very low in all of those, and therefore, so is the 3200. I am very surprised if either one could "run" this game well at any screen resolution higher than 1024 by 768.
However, if you are satisfied, I hope you do enjoy playing the game. I know that I wouldn't want to have to play on anything that weak and slow.
