So I know that your family is suppose to resemble the Hawke made in character creation, but I made my hawke blonde with grey eyes, and the family looks exactly like the family that matches the pre-maid hawk

the pre made hawke and preset face 1 and 2 all have the same looking family, preset face 3 and 4 has another style family, preset 5 and 6 another and 7, 8, 9 and 10 the last set of family

The family members will change their facial structures depending one what pre-made character you choose. Things such as skin-tone will change depending on your own choices. The only constants are the black hair color, and the color of their eyes, it seems.

I would love to see what the presets for each look like.
I'm not sure which preset I started with, but after I finished configuring my Hawke, Carver looked rather odd. He had long hair that resembled very bad dreadlocks.

Carver looks like a Korean gansta in the Asian preset...it's actually...quite fitting.

Do the skin tone really change? Cos I used the mirror from the black shop and when I gave my Hawke a dark skin tone... his brother remains the same... (I was using the first preset.)

FYI: 1st preset hawke is light skinned.

So does it means only the first time (at game start) choices have any effect?

I think so - I used the mirror too and my family stayed the same, so I think only the first time you choose your appearance affects how your family looks.
