It's funny how all those that say it was a ****ty story and all post from accounts that don't have DA2 activated. Never played the game or afraid of getting banned?

Pathetic...

Since when has that something to do with making a valid or non-valid complain? Got the game activated but I won't register it here on this side. Did that with ME1 on the old side and did it with DA:O and DA:A. But for me "registering it here" means showing support and until I have finished the game (was only unlocked this morning) I'm not sure I want to show that kind of support.

So reserve your "judgement" for when it makes sense ... because at the moment it doesn't.

Sigh I guess I shall go and mention this again. I do not have the game installed on my PC and therefore have nothing to register nor will I as I have decided against purchasing a copy. I do however have a rather thorough experiance of it based on having played it on a third person's PC who had it pre ordered and decided not to cancel. I am certainly not afrraid of getting banned, nor do I feel I have given reason to be.

I can not speak for everyone else but I don't think we all need to have a little icon under our portrait to have our opinions count.

if there are 10 people who buy a game, 8 continue to play instead of post, and 2 dont enjoy it and continue posting that they dont like said game, how many would you say dont like the game total?

a. all- nope.
b. most- uh-uh.
c. some- maybe.
d. VOCAL MINORITY- yeah.

That is ofcourse very true, however I dare you to prove that is the case here. There is hardly any survey relieble enought to state that as fact. However this thread is hardly the place for this kind of discussion.

The forums will never represent the majority of the playerbase. I still wish people did not state their opinions about the game as facts.

What a fanboy! Because we don't register our game our opinions are invalid.

If you actually look at peoples opinions in this thread you'd actually know they are correct. DA2 is heavily focused on side quests. With hardly any plot advancement. For example, Im 7 hours in and all I have done is sidequests which are required to get 50 gold! thats Fun!

In Dragon Age Origins you were never stopped from doing the main story, the side quests were optional and you decided when you undertook them! whilst DA2 you are forced to do side quests and blocked from furthering story!

To be fair the writing and story are still far above the average game.

It's in no ways a bad job if you look at it from a wider perspective, not just a Bioware perspective.

Uh, he was just posting in this thread as recently as an hour ago.

You know the spoiler section where he and others can discuss the story at length.  That's just my guess though, I haven't been following DG or the forums all that closely.

All of Bioware's romances in the last few years are just excuses to get shagged.

Get shagged? Pft, I didn't even get a sex card for Isabela.

Lol sex card is the thing you should get. The rest is just burden better to get rid of quicly.

Do you say that to those who love the game unconditionally? Hive mind much?

I wish you understand that anybody saying opinions say them by default as his opinions.

I say that to all.

People tend to not realise the difference between an opinion and a fact.

I read both of the books and they were OK. The writing is mediocre but you put your imagination at work. It was no damn biography.

Even Red Dead Redemption that gave you the feeling for having an amazing story, it was just the old cliche cowboy story but it was so great because of the way it was told. I'm not past Act 1 in DA2 yet so I won't judge the story just yet since the story telling is the same as in Origins but with better cutscenes.

Being banned is nothing to worry about.

However there is a new threat and that is to get your account disabled, which can lead to you not being able to access DLC's you have paid or gained.

This is new thing in gaming, and if it really is so then corporation power has gone too far for once you have paid of the (offline) game you should be able to play it too.

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention that is the reason I recommend people using alt accounts in forums from this on. Should do it myself but I take the risk of losing DLCs.

Ok, before this thread gets locked i want to say that, although you hate the game, you shouldn't get mad with the developers because i know people that enjoy the game. These are your opinions yes but when they are made in such a way that it is only causing disruption and no productive discussion, that is when you begin crossing lines and potential punishment.

Also i see that this is posted on 4chan.org's video game board. You guys get mad at people calling you out but yet you come here and continue to antagonize this community? I really wish some of you would grow up for once in your life and enjoy video games.

The story is very poor, and I think Gaider should be examined for his responsibility for DA2. IIRC he admitted that Twilight was his inspiration for romance-that probably shows why the quality of DA2 is so low.
Also IIRC the lead designer resigned from designing DA2 being unsatisfied with what it was becoming, the main writers are also different.

I don't know about the whole Twilight thing. I thought the movies were garbidge and I've never read the books. I think however regardless of that you may missunderstand the meaning of inspiration. It can mean a great many different things and is hardly a crtiteria by which you can judge the final product, be that positive or negative.

Heh, lets take some 1vs1 in comp games I enjoy (or co-operative). Those are not very ez games though, so I am very sure you would not enjoy of them a bit! But at least you could "grow up" and learn to enjoy them :) In theory that is.

Ok well I just read the thread so here is my opinion you're asking for.

I played DA and the expansion...expansion got boring never finished it. Origins seemed solid I liked the origin stories ect. thought it was a solid game nothing spectacular just solid.

Then I played the DA2 demo. About 1/3 of the way through it I realized I wouldn't be buying the game. The voice acting ranged from average to bad, the dialog was bad, and the dialog wheel gave you no immersion and several times in the demo gave me a response that wasn't even similar to what I had picked. There you have it.
