I would assume there are female saarebas out there that would not fall under those categories.

That's a question I had asked myself too. What do the Qunari do to female mages? But since Sten always said women should not fight I guess they are more likely used as healers or stuff like this.

After seeing him in action, I was psyched at the thought of the Qunari mage as party member. But alas, no such luck. It reminded me of when I met the talking werewolf in the Brecilian Forest in Origins (I think his name was Swiftrunner maybe). I was thinking he would be a possible party member, would've been awesome to have a snarling werewolf, but it didn't happen.

 "Ketojan" made a big impact on me. I was so disappointed when he just... burst into flames. That he protected Hawke and dubbed him/her worthy of following reminded me of a mage version of Sten. I wish there were more Qunari companions and allies in the game. 
And I wish I had a paperback version of the Qun. I think I understand and get most of what they speak of. 

I was seriously hoping he would become a companion. I hope someone makes a mod out of it.
