I've been trying for some time now to modify the Templar armor and combine it with some of the other Massive armors, such as the Warden Commander armor from Warden's Keep.
Now, I've successfully modified and combine the model, it works in-game and it looks good. Except for one minor thing. It's barely visible, but when I notice it, it truly sticks out.
This is what it looks like in 3ds max:
Strange shadow/shading deformity
Shading deformity
So what happened there?
As soon as I go from the Skin modifier to the Editable Poly mode, it starts to look like that. If I switch back without changing anything, then it reverts back to the original, non-deformed-shadow-mode. If change/remove anything there, it permanently looks like that.
Any modeller expert who knows what I messed up and how I should fix it?

check your vertices, looks to me like you have some that are unwelded, likely the result of a cut that made a cut close to, but not through another vertice.
And if you don't mind my asking, what import/export tool are you using for max?

I'm using Eshme's Import/Export tool, latest version.
Seems that was it, yes, but I'm having trouble with the vertices underneath the shoulderpad, the ones in upper area of the screenshot.
I just can't seem to weld them together without messing up that area.
If you have the time, could you take a look at it? I can upload the .mmh file, and the .phy/.msh as well.
EDIT:
Seems I've fixed it. We'll see how long my luck lasts.
Thanks for the help! Since I'm no modeller, I never would've figured it out on my own.

You're welcome
That problem used to plague me a lot in my early days of modeling
