So at first I thought this happened only in one place, but eventually I made it past that place and now it keeps happening again. Usually right after transfering from one section of Kirkwall to another (first leaving Lirene's shop, now entering lowtown at night) the game will randomly shut down. My cpu makes a loud (fan/loading) noise and the game closes giving me the "Dragon Age II has quit unexpectedly" whatever message. This a bug anyone else is experiencing??? I hope it can be fixed with an update soon... getting real annoying and keeping me from continuing with the game! Please help BioWare!!!

Bump this! Seriously, this isn't happening to anyone??? Its happened to me half a dozen times already at least. No warning, no apparent reason, doesn't happen on any other game just - "Dragon Age II has stopped working..."!!! What's up with that? Do I have to email Bioware or what?

I had this issue. It seemed to be linked to the fact that I had moved my "My Documents" folder. When I restored it to it's default location, this problem went away.

I've had that message when background cut scenes kick in with the more "classical animation" style (intro about the darkspawns and the battle, the witch of the wilds and entering kirkwall etc.). I've also had it happen randomly now and then. Such a fun game!

Because you chose to treat your report as being about a console game, everyone apparently assumed you were in the wrong forum, all of you in this thread. For the OP author, should you be interested in help from other gamers, which is where 90 % - plus of your answers will be now, and very soon, more than that, fill in a normal problem report for a PC, as outlined in this description:jess_chapman wrote...

Expand your question to meet the report form suggested. This is for the OP Author only, at least as far as I am concerned, personally. I only answer that query in each thread I am interested in responding to, and the rest need their own separate individual problem report messages. That doesn't mean another gamer won't eventually respond to the piggyback riders, just that I won't.
