 Does this eventually upgrade there visuals as well .. I only ask because (a) im bored of them looking the same and ( I swear anders looks a little different now

The only two people who I've seen visibly change were Aveline and Anders, and both were caused by in game events, not upgrades.

Merrill gets a complete outfit change when she moves in with you if you romance her.

Fenris puts a red cloth of sorts around his wrist and puts the Hawke shield on his belt, not sure if that's romance specific or not.

I haven't seen anything else on top of what the others mentioned.
