I can't even get to the search the bodies part...

So, I encounter Isabella in the Hanged Man. No problem.

I later go back to the Hanged Man and start a conversation with her. This launches the "Fools Rush In" quest. No problem.

I then leave for a bit (to work on the sister patrice quest). In the middle of it, I pop into the tavern to switch my party (closest set your party stand, PITA, but I'll save that for another time). I see Isabella with a LARGE  QUEST ARROW above her. So I go to talk to her. She says something about Hayder being late, then I briefly hear blade sounds, and she disappears.

After completing the sister patrice quest, I check the map. Hightown is highlighted with the Fools Rush In quest. I go there.

When I get there, there is no  quest arrow on the map. Anywhere.

I wander around and randomly run into Isabella. She only has a speech bubble, no quest icon of any sort. I try to talk to her to activate the quest. All I get is random talk about hightown.

The quest is not finished, it is just sitting there. I can not get Isabella to do anything.

WTF. CLEARLY THIS IS A MAJOR BUG.

And I'm pissed, because I am facing wasted hours and going back to an old save and wasting more hours just to get where I should be in first place. WTF.

So to clarify:

- picked up Fools Rush In
- did the lowtown portion of Shepherding Wolves (Sister Petrice)
- went back to Tavern
- talked to Isabela which started Fools Rush In while you were in the Hanged Man?

Assuming that's right we'll look in to it internally.

I apologize if the other post sounded sharp-toned, I was tired and annoyed. But the bug is real.

Basically, your summary is right.

To clarify, I was doing the lowtown portion of Shepherding Wolves (went to the hideout). However, I didn't like my party makeup(for friendship reasons), so I loaded an autosave, redid the first part of Shepherding Wolves(fight in the alley and initial meeting, but prior to the hideout), then went to the Tavern to change my party.

While there, I talked to the Suspicious Lady (her quest was newly available), rejecting her quest. Then I talked to Isabela, which appeared to start what I'm guessing was the Hightown part of the quest. Except she diappeared. I was concerned, but there didn't seem anything I could do, so I left and completed the Shepherding Wolves quest. Seems like she shouldn't have been in the tavern in the first place. It did seem weird to me, but she had a major quest icon over her...

When I tried to pick up the Fools Rush In in Hightown, there was the proper quest marker on the travel map (to choose Hightown). However, there was no quest marker identifiying Isabela and her location. She was in Hightown, but the quest was unavailable. I could get her to talk, but only non-interactively.

I bounced back and forth between the tavern and hightown, seeing if it would fix itself. She was not in the Hanged Man, only in Hightown-night. Sounds like the proper location for her, but no quest.

Sadly, I don't see any fix for me other than reloading a very old save, and re-doing the Shepherding Wolves quest. Unfortunately for me, it also means backing up and re-doing the Viscount's Son and Qunari gunpowder quests along with Qunari compound conversations. So incredibly annoying.

Hopefully you will fix this in a patch so it doesn't happen again. Or at least warn people.

We'll try to reproduce it in-house to get the exact specifications for the issue and then work on fixing it. Currently, I would be inclined to say that your best bet is to load back before that occurred, sorry.

Ok, thanks for getting back to me. To late for me, but hopefully you guys can figure out what the problem is for the sake of other players and playthroughs.
